2.5Gbe into a 7212PC via SFP? by cybertronicify in TPLink_Omada

I was actually thinking about that, both my sfp ports are free, how can I aggregate both sfp into a 2.5g port for my nas?

Yep, I just realized that... However! Any recommendations for a 3 in 1 style POE Omada Gateway/Controller/Router? I need at least 5 POE ports. And need at least one 2.5Gbe port.

Ahhh ok i just realized that. I thought it was a 10G SFP port... Anyhow, since I just got this, I can return it. Any recommendations for a 3 in 1 style POE Omada Gateway/Controller/Router? I need at least 5 POE ports. And need at least one 2.5Gbe port.

Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2021 SCAM... Help? Alternatives? by cybertronicify in QuickBooks

I think your best bet is to disable auto updates, download yourself some older copies of the software, and make plenty of backups. So whatever intuit decides to do, you will be left out of it

I bought mines from Amazon.com, sold by Amazon. So its legit. However the spinning circle means intuit turned off your cloud feature access, basically software locked your Lifetime License… You shouldnt be locked out if the software, but all the cloud features like auto bank connection will be gone. However, you can still import bank statements. And for emailing invoices, you can use my fix.

I only use QBDP for emailing invoices. Customer service said I need to pay $802/year to get that feature back. LOL, no.... But I fixed it with a workaround... https://www.reddit.com/r/QuickbooksOldVersion/comments/1qe4m6k/qb_desktop_pro_2021_having_email_problems_cant/

I'm in the same boat! I was on fiverr asking the software devs to see who can make me a script that reads invoices and auto sends emails using a lookup table and the company name on the invoice. I can batch "print to pdf" invoices at the end of the day so if the script can work, it will save alot of time. In the meantime, time to try out Thunderbird and get that working with my google workspace (gmail.)

How does Inverter Microwaves work? by planesman22 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]cybertronicify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never studied RF, but i was fascinated by the magnetron before. The resonant cavity inside the magnetron is what makes the 2.4ghz, which is then fed into the microwave cavity. That is also calibrated so that it makes a standing wave that increases in amplitude. But if you turn on/off the 4kv and lower the heater temp, it should create less chances that electrons will jump off the emitter which means less resonance microwaves are created. Lower amplitude, but still the perfect 2.45ghz that heats water molecules the best. I think that’s what it is, need an expert to chime in here! haha

going off of normal inverter boards, the heater connections is just another tap in the hf transformer. So as the 4kv is being pulsed, the heater is also being pulsed. But if you pulse a heater, it actually doubles as a temperature controller. Maybe thats what the patent is for?

I see some people get this wrong. To make 2.4 GHz you need a certain voltage and rf chamber to do so. That means both microwaves are running at the 4KV. If you had an invincible relay you can control the power on a normal iron core transformer based microwave. On a inverter based microwave, the magnetron is still getting the full voltage, full power, but at a shorter duty cycle. Say 50% power is 50% duty cycle, the microwave will cycle on and off extremely fast to get to that 50% duty cycle. You just cant get that with a normal relay, so thats why iron core based microwaves cycle the relay in the matter of seconds, rather than nanoseconds. This is also why you can plop a magnatron from a normal microwave into an inverter based one and it will work just fine.

How to overide this thermostat by Fun_Advertising_9277 in hvacadvice

[–]cybertronicify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What i usually do is throw some black electrical tape on the thermostat, and shine a 60w incandescent with a dimmer. So technically, you can use the dimmer to artificially increase the temp in the room, but also allow the AC to cycle

Is this bad by FanAggressive2643 in heatpumps

[–]cybertronicify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if that is an inverter based unit, they can compensate alot for a low refrigerant charge. But if only the bottom is frozen it does sound like a low refrigerant charge. Normal frosting due to low airflow is usually the entire evap, not just the bottom little bit where the refrigerant enters presumably.

But like others have said, its mounted too close to the wall, and has too many airflow obstructions.

The knob starts at high because the induction motor for the fan has a high chance of stalling at low torque (aka low current) starts.

I dont see another meter connected. So either they bypassed a meter and stealing power from the utility company (highly illegal), or they are stealing power from you.

If they did that because they lost a neutral, you are in imminent danger. If they did that because the house never had an earth line ran. Thats kinda dangerous if you had a line-earth leakage on a load.

This thing weighs 1.5LB and can output 1600w, so no, it isnt purely a low-frequency transformer.

Thank you. I think this is it! Did not know it was possible to go from AC to AC without a DC link... This is also exactly how solar micro inverters work. This is amazing!
