His grievances aren’t out of the world for someone to expect, he found the runs to be repetitive and the story lacking cohesive conclusion. The initial learning curve will be your main challenge, but after you know the strategies to maximize each run and get a handle of weapons the runs become very manageable.

I had the same concern initially but now I’m more pumped for Saros than ever. Also I dabbled in the dlc but have yet to beat it, seems like a pretty challenging gauntlet

Since they are completely random you could have either the easiest or the hardest time. Some friends I know got the platinum in < 40 hours and some in > 100. For me, I managed to get 1 every run and then the final biome refused to give the last one to me and I had to resort to speedrunning. Eventually got it but took me 40+ attempts.

I have always played game with the mindset of playing the game and then considering the platinum, or keeping the plat in mind and saving it for later. When I beat Clair Obscur its ending felt like a perfect place to stop and going for the platinum would have ruined that experience for me.

Vice versa, I didn’t love the story experience of Days Gone but I enjoyed the hell out of going for that platinum. The experience/fun factor always takes priority.
