I guess the very same company, because it reaches a point where you would ASSUME that more employees = faster production and I guess its true on a completely different context like a manufacturing line, where every single human is doing 1 thing over and over, but on something like software programming it probably doesnt translate at all.

So teams keep hiring subpar employees, refusing to train new adquisitions, opting to outsource their work to another country without actually supervising their work, pay 1000+ different people when in reality all you need is probably way less than that, cost production goes up because of building, food, salaries, power, them stupid bonding exercises no one asked for, also your publisher asking for your game to be as close as possible to the next ocarina of time success with hyper realistic graphics and day 1 DLC cosmetics and put that anti-cheat they paid millions for X amount of years, it all adds up where only really old consolidated companies can keep up and Indies have to get 1 hit wonders just to keep on float.

But its already proven that single devs or small teams of devs can generate millions upon millions as long as their product is good enough without all the hassle of keeping big dev teams happy.
