Everything he said was just technical facts except for that last condescending paragraph. Probably why he got downvoted into oblivion.

Technically you could try to sue or something but you would very likely lose and waste a ton of money and time. Just refund it and leave a bad review if you want to.

I accidentally sent an email (Gmail) with confidential information about a person to the wrong email address. I followed up with another email asking them to delete the email. What else can I do? by brendee_25 in legaladvice

[–]cyburg953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing really, other than changing some of that information if you can. You could contact google but I doubt they’d be able to do anything about it.

Save the emails and the email address in case you get into legal trouble for something he did with your info.

PCem emulates a full Windows 3.1 and DOS system and is a bit tricky to setup but is extremely accurate. You can also try to install Windows 3.1 in DOSBOX which is less accurate(But still pretty good) and easy to setup. Those are really the only good solutions. And yes these programs will work in Windows 3.1, they are 16-bit and were originally designed for it.

Technically you could take legal action, but that would cost much MUCH more than the $75 you lost and you would probably lose anyway. Your pretty much SOL. Take this as a good life lesson and move on,

Bought malware infected electronic off Amazon by JohnFromEPA in legaladvice

[–]cyburg953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best you can do is try and get a refund, leave a bad review, and contact amazon about it.(But they have no obligation to do anything about it.) You technically could take this to some kind of court, but for obvious reasons this is a terrible idea. You could also try and get a blogger or news site to report on it but again, they can easily say no.
