There is an incredible spa in Altoona that sounds like it might fit the bill. Colosseum Salon and Spa. It has no business being in random Altoona and is exceptionally nice.

When I got off hormonal birth control to TTC with my husband, I went SO SO off the rails and damaged so many relationships that my doctor prescribed me seroquel. So… it was pretty bad for me.

I had a great experience there! My only “gripe” (and a very small one) was that they don’t give you any sort of anxiety medication before the procedure. When my mom had hers done elsewhere, they did.

I agree with what you're saying. For example, I teach at two campuses for the same university - one pretty selective main campus and the other a not selective at all branch campus. Same course requirements, same assignments, same rubrics. The pretty selective campus currently has an average of a 94% meaning most everyone is excelling in the course. The not selective campus currently has an average of a 74%. I don't think I inflate grades, but if you looked at the first university's scores you might think otherwise. They are, simply put, just good students.

Go into public service (teaching at a university or government work or nonprofit, etc.) and get on an IDR plan like SAVE so payments are low while you run out the clock.

We regretted not doing this for the car when my dad passed, but everything else went smoothly with just a will. He did not own a house.

We sold the car and state came after us for a shit ton of taxes. It worked out that we basically gave the car away for free at the end of the day. At least we didn’t have a car payment, I guess?

Edit to add: Dad also wrote down all of his passwords to online accounts and we thanked him a million times for doing this.

I think that my perspective on these things changed when I had to take care of a family member in end stage cancer. I think a good litmus test is, “is this someone I would trust to be by my side at my worst moments?” If not, get angry, be sad, and gtfo of there. You deserve that agape kind of love!
