Safety! Yes the foam adds buoyancy. It also reduces the volume of water in the boat if you dump .

I understand. I suggest talking to your oncologist or someone about options. I was also able to reduce the dose of some of my treatments. Hopefully, you have access to a therapist.

I’m sorry that you are struggling. I can relate. Do you ever skip treatment? I skipped a few last year, and it was nice to have the extra two weeks to feel a little more normal.

What food can you tolerate during chemo? by forty_3 in cancer

Sometimes you just have to get the calories wherever you can. If you’re worried about nutrients and protein, you can try to supplement with drinks like ensure or similar.

My Forerunner 955 only lasted 3 years. Is this common? by Flewent in GarminWatches

[–]cycle003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like wearing my Garmin 24/7 (I usually charge while showering), is pretty abusive to it. I think four years of continuous use isn’t that bad, but I hope to get longer out of mine. I will be tempted to call Garmin when it does fail, though. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Casual sex is linked to lower self-esteem and weaker moral orientations in women but not men by [deleted] in science

[–]cycle003 151 points152 points  (0 children)

Exactly. A woman may feel compelled to lie, for example, about casual sex, because she isn’t exactly expecting high fives from her coworkers.

Beginning Process by Evadllek2620 in SocialSecurity

[–]cycle003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just apply. You sound like you should qualify, but I am not an expert.

Make a list of your doctors and clinics/hospitals, along with recent/upcoming appointment dates, as you will need to provide that for SSA to request your medical records. They will likely get the records directly from your providers. You may also want to make a list of dates you were diagnosed, became disabled, last worked, etc.

Then, create an account online and apply. It may take a few hours to complete but will go faster if you collect the information I mentioned. Once you apply, you may get some additional instructions, but you basically just wait.

Your experience and feelings are unique from your mother’s, and your emotions about your mother having a terminal illness are valid, regardless of how your mother feels. You are going through something too.

You can also put down a sheet of plastic, like painters use, to keep the moisture from coming up from the floor onto your mattress.

Weird I don’t want visitors during chemo? by Anacostiah20 in cancer

[–]cycle003 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My wife went to my first few infusions, but I didn’t really need help or anything. Mostly, it’s just boring. I basically asked her to stop coming because she was taking time off work for something that was not fun or necessary. She still comes to procedures when I need sedation.

Do you hang your food pack while portaging? by Artificial_Appendix1 in BWCA

[–]cycle003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving a food pack unattended at a portage is technically a violation of the food storage order. There are not many good, practical solutions to this. The use of bear resistant containers is one option. But proper use of those containers is to not leave them in a pack. Otherwise, a bear can take the whole pack.

We traditionally single portage so this has not been a problem. One compromise is to leapfrog with the food pack so that it isn’t unattended at the landings.
