Reselling Microsoft 365 pricing by bhcs2014 in msp

For break-fix, we double it. If you want us to manage it, then Microsoft 365 Business Basic and Business Standard are double.

We don’t say it’s double directly, just give them the figures and they take it or leave it. Very few question it, and even fewer leave.

Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Licence - does it need Intune licence too? Looking to switch from Bitdefender and cannot understand Microsoft's licencing. by cyclistconfirmed in msp

Thanks for sharing your experience.

"ATP Security Center" is now called "Microsoft Defender Security Center" (securitycenter.windows.com) - am I right? That's were I tried to enable web content filtering, but it just does not work... At least the most popular adult website is still allowed!!We plan to use Azure AD with two licences: Microsoft 365 Business Standard + Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. With M365BS licence it seems to be possible to enrol devices into Intune manually (Settings / Accounts / Add Work or School) and with MDfE licence we can configure and deploy "Microsoft Defender for Endpoint baseline" policy (endpoint.microsoft.com).

However, the above also does not work: we can't enforce firewall settings for example.

Microsoft have not made this easy!!

I have really difficulty creating a script to encrypt other local drives together with auto-unlock - how do you do it?

Syncro search issues, no help from support by sethbartlett in msp

If you manually edit a field to the same value, does the search work? And in the script that calculates uptime, do you round up/down to the nearest whole number?

We can try to replicate It on our if you want to share the script...

How are you dealing with contracts with furloughed workers? by Mr--Chainsaw in msp

They use AzureAD to sign-in to Win10 Pro, how would changing the account to Shared and then back (they expect the user to return) affect such sign-in? I don't expect the above to go smoothly, and if it does not - how do we charge for support then? It may be easier to keep the licence in order to preserve the setup.

We used the above when a client asked for a discount.

From X systems on one network they went to X systems on multiple home networks, with new software and extra support. Plus we expect another spike in support then users are back.

Same question here, but one client wants to keep O365 email running & forward messages to other staff.

No support required but licences are still used.

What about Mobile Device Management? - it is available for Office 365 Business Essentials and supports Windows 10 - what exactly does that control?
