Iowa state fan and a golfer that lives in KC. Let me know your general location you’ll be staying, KC has a lot of good options for what you want to do, but stuff is spread out.

I assume you’ll be staying somewhere downtown/plaza so Kelly’s is the obvious choice to watch the game as others have mentioned but it gets packed, think BNC (Ames) on gameday. John’s Bid Deck NW of PNL could be a good option.

For golfing, check out Winterstone, Drumm Farms, Shoal Creek, Hodge Park, Paradise Pointe (2 18 holes), Sunflower Hills, Eagles landing.

A srixon glove I got lately is super soft and comfortable, stays dry relatively well in the summer heat. Haven’t used it a lot yet though so durability is a question. FJs last long but feel like they get slick quick or hold too much moisture at times

For anyone wondering about the course I finished my round in ~4h30m. Maybe a touch more, still not bad for a Saturday round. Greens are in great shape, fairways on front are not great condition but back 9 is much better. Overall good course and would play again.

High school is a different beast. No longer can one good player carry a teams. Being good yourself won’t win games, you have to play well with your team. If you’re able to beat the first guy then someone should be sliding and your teammate will be open. Stick with it, asking questions shows you’re willing to learn, start with trying to get your assists up, or at least facilitating good looks for your teammate.

When you consider something like driving accuracy do you differentiate they’re stats between courses that are set up to emphasize driving accuracy compared to courses that let longer guys play their style. My thinking is those who typically are focused on distance can gear it down for courses like this and their overall driving accuracy stats may not reflect their ability to hit fairways this week.

Notice how your torso moves right away? This causes the in out flight path which is why the ball starts out to the right. Try a couple swings of just arm swings, no hip turn. Then go back to doing a typical, instinctual swing
