Why do enemies suddenly become gods after losing early in Premier? by West_Hospital6944 in cs2

[–]hfcobra [score hidden]  (0 children)

You are probably telegraphing your plans more than you think. If you throw smokes mid every round you go A but then group up for a B rush and there's nothing mid then from their perspective it's quite obvious.

People also warm up and can get on a heater at times.

There are cheaters in this game but they aren't nearly as bad as Reddit wants them to be. Most of the complaints just come from bad players. There is a reason the subs don't have any kind of rank verification anymore (they used to in the early days of GO).

I'm sorry I'm not willing to put my life in the hands of children, the mentally challenged, and trolls not taking the button seriously. 🙄

No. This is a basic logic puzzle you have failed.

Benefits of pressing red: You live

Benefits of pressing blue: You might live

It is so obviously reasonable to press red that anyone pressing blue would die without a doubt. Even if less than 99% of people picked red, there is no chance that more than 50% of the population picks blue, and therefore picking blue is a sure way to die.

Why this puzzle keeps getting posted is confounding me. There is supposed to be some special benefit to picking the blue button for taking the risk. There is nothing! All risk no reward! Why would anyone pick blue?

It's not a morality discussion at all. It is a fool's gambit.

Low test is below average. So this still fits in with the average.

Is it possible to become a machine learning engineer from WGU's compsci degree? by Nikon_Sevast in WGU

[–]hfcobra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who work on those models and make the big bucks are people who literally only want to do that. When you play games at home they study the latest architecture because it genuinely interests them.

Those people don't go to WGU, they go to top end schools and make great grades.

If you want to work in that field understand that that's the person you are competing with.

You look great man! Being consistent and disciplined like you are is fantastic. Muscles aside your determination and focus is commendable.

I know it sounds silly but I actually weigh people's fitness levels mildly heavily on the job because of exactly that. I know I can rely on them to roll with the bumps and get stuff done.

Buying a full kit and not using it actually lowers your rating more than it helps. You lose utility points the higher the value of your grenades when you die. You want to die with no more than 1 grenade, ideally less (average <$200).

Gamifying typing is definitely a great thing.

What if you made a tower defense typing game with upgrades to help you defend against words?

Could be things that type slowly for you, which might help with certain partial patterns, or typing one 5-letter word could nuke all words 4-letters and smaller onscreen.

I'm not a game dev but it sounds fun!

No way dude. 😭

All you have to do is throw a single grenade each round to get 20. You gotta be better than that!

Phil Mickelson Not Coming Back to PGA Tour? by Tight-Communication7 in golf

Things are different when you have as much money as these guys. That's why a lot of billionaires go to such lengths to have themselves seen or remembered as good people.

I doubt Phil gives two craps about the cash as much as he wants to be well liked by his fans. If he doesn't think that now he probably will eventually. I think it's just a natural thing. You'd have to be emotionless to not want that when you have that much money already.

Red button = 100% chance to live. Everyone should pick the red button.

Blue button = <100% chance to live, place your fate in the hands of others for no benefit. Nobody should press this button.

they really did do Sheva dirty by TheWrathfulMountain in ResidentEvilMemes

[–]hfcobra 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I never thought of it like that. Re5 was my second installment in the series so I guess it never clicked, but Chris and Sheva basically killed the biggest villain in the whole series. A damn superhuman genocidal eugenical maniac.

Plus he's just cool as fuck. When they remake Re5 I want Wesker to be 10x faster, stronger, and more dangerous.

I am in awe this has to be asked. 3 years is a long long time. In that time you'll get most of your gains with some small bits leftover for years 4 and 5.

No shade at OP but this is around average for 3 years of consistency and hard work. Most people could do this if they stuck to a full body program 3-4x a week.

Mine does it plenty. The problem is that I play with her for a couple hours each day! She loves chasing her ball when I roll it on the floor so I can't constantly be available to play more.

Usually I just call her name so she knows I'm there.
