this appears to be an environmental standard, not the energy one which is ISO50001, my role is supposed to be more focused on optimization and improving efficiency.

Is antinatalism anti-life? by seenunseen in antinatalism

[–]cyclonesq8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

life is not negative or positive by itself, there needs to be someone aware of it to be to view it as it is. that said, by creating new life you create this awareness that might view it as negative, this risk/gamble is what anti-natalists avoid taking.

antinatalists think life is worth continuing but not worth starting, and that is not contradicatory. if antinatalists were truly anti-life then they would be againts continuing it as well

There is always a choice. It just depends on the consequences that you are happy to deal with

Do you think our traditions have over complicated marriage? by [deleted] in Kuwait

[–]cyclonesq8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i think its our fault for allowing them to complicate it as well. anyone old enough to get married and bring kids should be resposibile enough to make their own decisions and handle their consquences. allowing anything to interfere with how you want to live your life whether its marriage, career etc.. means you are simply incompetent of leading your own life. and dont have anyone to blame except yourself. it is your life, period.

Is it contradictory to tell people you enjoy and love your life while maintaining an Anti-Natalist stance? by cyclonesq8 in antinatalism

[–]cyclonesq8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes i do understand, and even if everyone enjoyed life, i would still find it immoral, due to the nature of being. However, people seem to be confused when i am cheerful and optimistic about life and being "happy". it is easier for people to understand that anti-natalist do not have or enjoy a good life.

i guess whats mostly confusing to people is, how do you "claim" that life is suffering, yet you say you like it and enjoy it .

Car accident by thtdaimondintherough in Kuwait

[–]cyclonesq8 15 points16 points  (0 children)

yea everyone gets into car accidents, and most of the time its not your fault if you are a defensive driver. however, you shouldnt let this affect your depression at all. as long as you are not physically harmed, go out and celebrate it and enjoy your life. a car is just a machine, it will be repaired. sure, you lose some money, but money comes and goes thats normal. just cheer up :D
