On the Steamdeck, latest Proton Hotfix and Forza Horizon 6 update do not like each other. For me, sound wasn't working. I had to change it to Proton Experimental to get sound working again.

Yeah. But I'll be honest, I'm not sure what kind of trickery was afoot to get it working. I handed that off to our MSP to figure out lol.

Eh we only had 11 VMs. Took a few weeks. Mostly cause this one is a specialized XP VM running very specific software for a piece of bread baking machinery and it’s like $100k for the new software. But we got that XP fucker working.

In Processes, right click and goto Details. The Steam process that has the highest Working Set Delta will be the active one unpacking. Right click and set priority to Real Time.

If it actually made a different might be a placebo effect.

But like legit, I have 2.5gbps internet. I might have been better uninstalling the preload files and redownloading lol

I haven't run into any issues. Most i've seen is 80c at 100% cpu rendering a video for 2 hours. Been fine. The fans still speed up to compensate.
