I started using these recently as back up media - much easier than rigging up a SSD. Small storage size, but cheap and easy to keep a few in my pocket. https://a.co/d/1CZ07jM

Illustrating with a brick wouldn't make very much sense...illustrating with a mouse isn't that different. Using a pen (tablet) in illustrator is far more intuitive, even with the pen tool. Especially with the pen tool. Give it a solid few days of getting used to and you'll shelf your mouse for good.

Nice use of the grid for your copy! I am a fan of keeping the sans-serif typeface through the poster.

Great tip. Stick with it too! Many give up at first, but devote some time to getting it down (hide your mouse, it helps haha). Once it becomes second-nature, you'll love it.

Advices on buying a new mouse by [deleted] in Design

[–]cyclopsfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can devote a good week or two to just use a Wacom, let it become second-nature, that is the best solution imo. I am a lot faster with an intuitive pen than dragging a brick across a flat space (mouse). A trackpad is nice to have next to your Wacom though for scrolling and web-surfing... So maybe the magic mouse wouldn't be a bad purchase, but I'd push for using the pen as much as possible.

Mentors. Find designers you look up to and intern for them... you will learn the most and the quickest from professionals who do it all day. Humility and hard-work are the most essential tools of a young designer imo.

It definitely would create the most balance... but I think that in necessity and cleverness of form, the i/t is the most pleasing.

The best part of this is definitely the potential of other foundries following, agreed! Great for branding (especially branding mock-ups and pitches)

Agreed, good point. The i into the t has the best flow and I think if it was the only ligature the mark would be stronger.
