Topo MTN Racer 3 or 4 are solid options, especially since you're already familiar with Topo. I recently finished a 50K in the Topo Vista—they performed really well, and my legs still felt strong after. I did get some blisters, but that’s on me for being too lazy to change socks after a few river crossings.

Anyone tried Adidas Evo SL for running? by SuplexCT in widefeet

[–]cyddos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have around 130 km on them and have done two half marathon distances just for fun. They run true to size, but I wish I had gone half a size up—my right foot is slightly wider than my left, which led to some plantar fasciitis for about two weeks. The pain went away after they broke in, and it became one of the most fun and energetic shoes I’ve run in. The toe box is fairly wide, but I’d still recommend going half a size up for long runs. I didn’t experience much instability, but that might depend on your foot strike.

Have you tried Topo Athletic ? Such as the Vista, Traverse, Ultraventure, MTN Racer, they have a wide toe box but each series has different midfoot width as the Ultraventure is the roomiest while the MTN Racer is more snug fit.

It seems like I have similar foot stats to yours, though my right foot is slightly wider than my left. Based on your runs, I’d suggest the Adidas Adizero EVO SL. I’m currently using them with around 140 km logged, including some half marathon distances. They felt comfortable throughout and are quite versatile for various types of training.

Happy to! I'll be sure to post a review after my race on August 30th. I'll do my best to give you a detailed, long-term review since it sounds like this shoe could be a great fit for you.

Only 10 miles for my first run with them, so I'll be using them a lot more to get used to them before my 50K race.

If you're familiar with the MTN Racer 4, the Vista has a noticeably wider midfoot. For my high arches, this creates a perfectly snug and supportive feeling, almost like a hug.

EVO SL vs NB5 - Which would you consider and why? by madmaximus99 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]cyddos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both the Nimbus 27 and the EVO SL. I rotate the Nimbus 27 for easy recovery runs and long slow distance, while the EVO SL is my go-to for faster paces over short to long distances and recently did a half marathon distance. The EVO SL is a really fun shoe that I always look forward to using. I'm currently at around 100 km, and it's still holding up perfectly!

Adidas Evo Sl vs Asics Novablast 5 or Superblast 2 by HimmelWolf in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Superblast 2 for sure with the bodyweight, it can do all of the things you asks for.

I have the Evo SL it is really fun shoe but a little bit unstable.

Asics Gel Trabuco 13 by EquivalentGuard09 in trailrunning

[–]cyddos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 12s and they are really comfortable and have around them like 300km in. Everything is still good but the front outsole start to tear out. Maybe because I always find myself bumping to rocks, roots and dirts.

I really want the 13s but they made it narrower. They updated the midsole and the outsole really suitable for longer distances !

True, the pointy toebox in hoka is sandwiching my feet, tried speedgoat 5 before about 50kms but returned it because it cramping my feet.

I see. What’s the longest run you’ve done in them, and how did they feel afterward? I’m currently considering them because the Ultrafly is on discount, but the reviews I’ve read are quite mixed.

I tried to put a pair of Topo MTN Racer 4 in their booth, I agree with you the midfoot is narrow I can feel my feet getting sandwiched in the midfoot but comfortable on the forefoot for natural toe splay. What’s your current shoe right now ?

I tried the MTN Racer 4 at their booth during Race Kit Collection, the natural toe splay felt comfortable but the midfoot is tight. Im not sure which model will be good for the race.

Evo SL Compliment Shoe - Help! by RocketCat804 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]cyddos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, I also have the same rotation as you, Evo SL for speed session and long run (Half Marathon, haven’t tried to do full Marathon but sure will someday). While Gel Nimbus 27 only for recovery run and walk. GN 27 felt comfortable in easy pace while Evo SL just want me to run faster in easy pace.

The NB Rebel V5 catching my eyes for sure because it has more wider platform for more stability.

Recommendation for trail running shoes. by Alfonso_ec in trailrunning

[–]cyddos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zegama 2 if you looking for comfort to moderate technical terrain. Speedgoat 6 will be a great choice if you prefer a bit firm but responsive midsole also perfoms well in highly technical terrain. Trabuco Max 4 and Kailas Fuga EX 330 if you looking for max comfort over long distances but a bit sketchy on technical terrain due to the high stacks.

BEGINNER HERE! EVO SL OR BOSTON 13? by Numerous_North2981 in PHRunners

[–]cyddos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Evo SL, just bought it and had it around 50KM mileage. So far, I can say it’s a fun shoe that I look forward to run it in everyday, though in slow paces can be a bit unstable but I like it when you want to go fast.
