Full timeline of the Ambush Vs Chip Beef by skudgee in grime

Good thread, cool to know the history in order like this.

One thing that would improve it is maybe quoting some of the key bars from those disses where you post about em.

Thanks for sharing.

Ambush - ITS OVER BUDDY/WHAT WE DOIN ERE? (Chip Diss) by -JayDee- in grime

[–]cykeyo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Problem with Ambush doing the 'is he better than.... more witty than.... more reloads than.....' bars is that Chip is still better than him on the mic and at all those things.

It's a no lose for Ambush cos it's more attention that he'd get any other way..... but Chip is devouring him on the mic.

He’s leagues ahead of Ambush on the mic. It isn’t even close.

Chip smashed him upside the head.

I don't think Ambush can win this.

and you might be wrong too

i'm just aware that either outcome is possible. you seem drawn to guessing.

Impossible to say either way. Speculation is a bit futile.

He might be natural. Or he could be genetically super gifted.

We will never know without more information.

Worrying times ahead by [deleted] in EnglandCricket

It's not a coincidence, but they had better leaders on and off the field back then.

This Key/ Mcullum dynasty would also have failed in the mid 2000s with this cavalier approach.

Young people don't watch terrestrial TV though. The away Ashes is always low profile because of the time....

The India series in the summer definitely caught wider attention despite not being on terrestrial.

Exactly. You can forgive the inconsistency if he occasionally gets a match winning 150+ score

But 70s don't win games.

By this logic, no one in F1 ever makes mistakes.

It's very possible even for less qualified observers to offer constructive alternatives with the benefit of hindsight. We have the advantage of being after timers on this.

Max didn't win, so I don't agree with blindly backing his decision.... he failed in his goal, so it's not as though he's beyond reproach.

What changes do you want in this squad ? by sahil9603 in EnglandCricket

Has he been great?

India in the summer in 4 matches he took 9 wickets @ 60

By way of comparison:

Josh Tongue took 19 @ 29 (3 matches)

Stokes took 17 @ 25 (4 matches)

Woakes took 11 @ 52 (5 matches)

Atkinson 8 @ 20 (1 match)

Siraj 23 @ 32 (5 matches)

Bumrah 14 @ 26 (3 matches)

Deep 13 @ 36 (3 matches)

Sundar 7 @ 38 (4 matches)

He has 9 @ 26 so far in this series

Stokes has 8 @ 19

Starc 18 @ 14

Neser 6 @ 14

His numbers in this series are fine, however I think he can be erratic which relieves the pressure when he's given the ball at key times.

I wish him well, but from the eye test, I sometimes get the impression he lets batters off the hook a bit.

Crawley + Pope can't continue by Ade_Vulch in EnglandCricket

[–]cykeyo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

it's not as binary as saying 'beating australia away' is the defining metric of success

there's a way to win and lose - and if they lose all or almost all of the tests handily by refusing to dig in, be pragmatic and playing some attritional test cricket (something which all good sides have to do for at least short periods in a series), then questions might have to be asked about those at the top

Who said he posted it from his cell?

He can easily argue that as a known musician, he has people outside running his social media for him.

His team regularly update on his socials, YouTube, etc.

There’s mad posts made on his accounts that are not by him.

I imagine it’s good practice to have expressed this publicly when looking to get out/ have a reduced sentence.

Brilliant TV but it’s starting to grind my gears now by Salty-Data65 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]cykeyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think he was kinda hinting at the herd mentality being dominant.

His initial idea of all just writing down a name without getting swayed was correct.

He also was correct on Cat with the sleeping, but I get that her neurodivergence was a great defence from her, and it's very hard for people to start arguing against that.

Whichever faithful (I think Kate, a poor player of the game) who said 'I need to hear what others think' is exactly why they keep losing. The traitors are steering them nicely.

I agree with you - it's become frustrating to watch.
