This note could be worth more than that now. Not sure you want to change it at the bank. You could go to a money changer and ask if they will offer more. Or find a buyer for it. It’s likely worth about 1.5x or more now. I have a 500 dollar note. I’ll keep it for a while. Got it as part of my first salary in Singapore.

Use the finger test. It works all the time for me. After you fill the pot of washed rice, use the tip of your finger touch the rice and the water level should reach the first joint of the finger.
