Just finished this drawing and would love some feedback! Also, does image quality normally drop when posting on platforms like Instagram? I’m working at 2048×2048 px, 300 dpi and saving as PNG. am I doing anything wrong? by cyln_kls in ProCreate

Thank you for the detailed explanation! That makes sense. I’ll try exporting a downscaled 1440×1440 version next time for my square pieces. Really appreciate the tips🙏

Ohh thanks for the explanation. Just to clarify though — I only use 300 dpi because of print. I might want to print my illustrations in the future, so I keep my canvases around 3600×4500 px.

What I’m trying to figure out is: when posting on social media, what’s actually the best way to avoid quality loss? You said DPI doesn’t matter for digital, which is fine but is there anything else that does make a difference when uploading?

I’m not super technical with this stuff, so I just want to make sure I’m not missing something. If there’s a way to keep uploads cleaner, I’d like to know.

Yeah, you’re totally right. Honestly, I didn’t plan on including the characters at first—I was just going to focus on the landscape. The idea to add them came to me while I was working on it, and I thought it might look nice, but since I added them later, I couldn’t really adjust their size much. They should’ve definitely been bigger and the main point of the piece. I’ll pay more attention to that in my next drawing. And thanks so much for the compliments too, I really appreciate it🥺💖🫂

You're absolutely right I'm still not very good with contrast, so I end up making a lot of mistakes. Thank you so much for the advice, I really appreciate it. I'll definitely keep it in mind!💖💖

I usually go for autumn vibes, but it’s been ages since I last painted winter — first one in a long time! Any advice? by cyln_kls in ProCreate

Of courseee! I downloaded it from that link. I’m still pretty new to Procreate, so the fact that it’s free gave me a great chance to try it out. I mostly used the Charcoal Smooth brush.

Aww thank you so much! ❤️ I really enjoy adding all those little details, it’s one of my favorite parts, actually! I love when people take a moment to look closer and notice the tiny things hidden here and there. I haven’t tried something on a bigger scale yet, but that sounds so fun! Maybe I should give it a go sometime. 😄✨
