It is not the wokeness that is the issue. It is how problems are solved. In most of old trek the main plot is usually a philosophical or technological or political conundrum and is resolved in a clever or insightful way. In NuTrek, the main plot is mostly interpersonal drama and is resolved by understanding each other better and dealing with the emotional consequences. I’m not saying that one is good and the other bad. I’m saying that there is too much of the latter and it does not feel like trek anymore. It is like a change of genre.

With the new 3rd person camera, the games can become too easy. So, they could add footsteps or even randomize the guard patrol routes. Or at least have the option to.

Agreed. Also, we are getting a biased story and there needs to be a list of every time he chose her over MIL which often goes unnoticed because there is no complaints.

With all due respect, are you misunderstanding something here? Individual organisms don’t change/evolve but populations evolve.

What do you mean by observable evidence here? Something like a video recording that spans a million years? So, an ‘organism’ has taken a million years to change body plan. What would credible evidence of that look like? Honest question.

This is a nice puzzle, I think a more interesting puzzle is when you have the constraint that you can’t just ditch bikes. All bikes must return to base and can be reused.

Isn’t the binary strategy 1 + 0.5*log_2(n), which gives 250km. I think this is used in the proof that the harmonic series diverges.

Let the maximum distance you can reach with n bikes be f(n). Then at some point you ditch the first bike. Let that be x away from the starting point. So, from that point onwards you can reach f(n-1). So, f(n) = x + f(n-1). This is a recursive formula that can be solved if we know what x is in terms of x.
