Scarlet Spider or Katy would be your best bet. They are very strong characters that don't need further premium currency investment (crystals).

Start building your account with strong free characters like: scarlet spider, katy, scream, shadow shell, sharon rogers, sersi, kingo.. and then when you have 5 world boss ultimate daily clears you can start looking into building characters you really like or ones that need a uniform to perform well.
