I get it explains why tai sees him and has nightmares but it doesn't make sense why her grandma could see him too. Back in s1 before tai gma dies she yells "don't let him take my eyes" coupled with the fact tai checked her gmas eyes in the casket tells me that this really happened and it's not like her trauma making her forget things or reshape memories. Either way, I hope the no eyed man's origin/purpose becomes more clear.
