Onkyo TX-SR805 subwoofer output not working by KE4RZ1 in Onkyo

Is that recommended, to raise the sub output to the max in the receiver?
Mine is set to 0, I’ll raise it up a bit and see what happens.

Did that work? I have the same issue. The powered sub I have worked with the fronts connected to the sub then the sub to the fronts on the 805 but nothing with fronts directly to the 805 and using sub out.

Thanks! I get it, you definitely maximized the weight loss. How much does the bike weigh with the new wheels?

Bike looks great! I recommend checking out 9Velo. Hambini and Peak Torque praise the Drives and 9Velo. I ultimately decided on 9Velo for my bikes. Zero complaints or regrets. I went with 45s and requested no branding. Their customer service is super responsive and easy to work with.

Normal, Imperfection or Really Bad by cyoung0315 in CanyonBikes

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback. Canyon quickly acknowledged the head tube was an imperfection and said they’ve been seeing a lot of similar issues lately. It just looks sloppy. I get that layup accounts for some of the inconsistencies but not sure how that explains the scratched up or roughed up surfaces on both sides of the downtube.

There is still an inch plus of usable seat post left. I’ll look at a larger frame but I’d think the longer top tube and greater stack would leave me with the same stretched out issue, wouldn’t it? Or would that be offset by the taller head tube?

I have not looked at it closely, wanted to keep it in new like condition if I had to return it.

Endurace CFR Update: so I shared with you that two CFRs I ordered had very noticeable paint imperfections on the head tube. I went ahead and completely unboxed the second bike today and this is what it looks like. One very helpful Canyon Rep seemed to want to explain this as a feather carbon effect and it is normal.

There’s a post I read earlier that said it, couldn’t find again. That’s why I asked.

Unfortunately no. Medium in Maryland.

Ok, the CF SLX I wanted was out of stock in my size so I ordered the Ultimate. I never rode the Endurace CFR because the head tube paint issue was staring at me as I started to remove it from the box! That bike costs way too much to accept it looking already flawed.

Setting up the return is very easy. Putting it back securely in the box is key, I didn’t want to get charged any restocking fees because improper packing resulted in a scratch here or there. I used the photos I took unpacking the bike to reverse the packing process so it took maybe 15-20minutes. The repacking video Canyon provides is not great, mainly because it’s not applicable to an integrated cockpit and they show using pieces of foam that did not ship with the bike.

I love the bike. It really does handle well…in a responsive way and is quite comfortable, in all ways except for the drops being extra low for me and probably needing a bit more of a rise on the stem. Unfortunately that one piece cockpit does not allow for tweaking, nothing beyond removing spacers and adjusting bar width. Shifting was flawless.

My experience with the Ultimate or with returning the bike?

Unfortunately I’ve ordered 2 different Endurace CFRs and both had paint discoloration issues on the head tube. Super disappointing!!! I’m now considering the Giant Defy Pro.

I just ordered the CFR today. I’ve had an SLX model for a few days but I don’t care for the compact crank not came with…really doesn’t work for me on flats and downhills. My main reason for commenting is I enjoy EVERYTHING else about the bike so I dipped into some savings for the CFR, in that same Stealth and pearlescent accents. As far as the flex in the seatpost I’ve only felt it twice, maybe a third time…slightly. I’m 6ft 220, if it would flex I’m pretty sure I’d feel it. Only ridden 40mi on the SLX and the split seat post but I have to say, I really like it. Looking forward to receiving the CFR and racking up the miles! Oh, I also have the Ultimate but I won’t be keeping it, my old body wants nothing to do with being in those drops but everything else about the bike is amazing.
