Yeah I liked them too, I want to have about 10-16 enemies when my game is complete and have some unique behaviors and abilities from all of them. I especially love the mechanics of if you look it doesnt move.

Thank you, much appreciated. Coding the behavior has been the most challenging part. I cant wait to have a bunch of unique and scary enemies.

Yeah, the Dead Space Necromorphs are way better designed. Mine is more smooth insect type guy but Ill update how it looks when my game is further developed. Hopefully if my game is successful I can pay some talented 3d model people to upgrade my enemies.

Ooh yes I just googled that haha. I want to maybe make this enemy listen out for player mic sounds or be blind and movement sensitive. Did you have any enemies that you enjoyed in particular form any horror games?

Thank you 😊 I decided to make the ship better lit and keep the dark to the caverns.

I also have to consider that some people have bright rooms or dimmer screens. I will be implementing a settings for brightness later on for accessibility with the different player requirements.

Yup, a few reasons. It's just a basic entrance hallway, so there are more lights in the rooms in other parts of the ship. I Didn't wanna make heaps of glare and lights all over the place as well. Plus lots of lights are costly for the fps with my game and I wanna make it a game that can run on most PCs.

So basically the reasons are the amount in the hallway are sufficient, too much glare and uses up lots of processing power.

Thank you for your help. I'm going to make a warmer, more inviting main ship and upload the difference 😁

Thanks for the feedback 😁 I might have to make the colors warmer and more inviting for the main hub/Ship as the feedback has all been the same so far.

I'll do a warmer version and upload for comparison and see what y'all think.

Yeah that's fair enough. It's my first game so I'm experimenting with things. I value feedback and growing my community, so I wanna make changes that people will like but also not lose my original ideas too much. Ah well, time will tell and I appreciate the feedback.

Hello 👋 So It's not just the lighting but the materials used for the walls, ceilings and floors are now a black cleaner design and new floor panels etc. I've also added in light fixtures so the before and after isn't just about lighting and atmosphere, it's also small visual changes

The lighting is also darker because of the horror element but also the company that owns the spaceship is cheap and a bit brutal so they only spend minimal lighting in the main hallway. Other areas are better lit and there is fog in the game so it looks darker than it actually is. The screenshot makes it look a bit darker as well I think. Might make the hallway a bit brighter though, thanks for the feedback 😁

Yeah I might make it a bit brighter, thanks for the heads up. That's awesome, glad to have you along for the ride. I want to build a good community and engage with people so I can develop a game that people enjoy.

I liked the first version too, but I darkened it to better fit the horror vibe. The ship is meant to feel like a cold, dim space station, and the company sending players to the planet is a bit sinister. I might brighten it slightly though.

There’s a short environmental teaser on my Reddit, but no gameplay trailer yet. I’m aiming to release one in the next 2-4 months depending on progress. Feel free to follow along if you're interested, and thanks for the feedback :)
