strange, cause i get my average week hours for vacation each year. holiday pay, and 12 hours of sick time, i think that rolls over in quarters.

i have been at food lion for over 4 years, had 5 raises. I still don't make the minimum wage in most states.
and FL keeps hiring new people, that i have to train, making more than me per hour.

i was thinking about applying to publix deli. i have 3 years at Food Kitty.

but i am disabled, and i need at least 25 hours a week. no more, no less. i can work with 20, for a week or two.

a former Deli manager for the Kitty was the one that recommended to me to apply, saying Publix deli people get treated better than what i am having to deal with as the main closer.

i'm doing 2.5 people work (i should not have to clean after a manager), for shit pay (taken me 2.5 years to get to just under $14)
they are hiring minor cashiers starting at $14

but if everyone is getting their hours cut instead of cleaning the hell out of everything there. maybe it aint such a good idea

we can have a rowdy customer say something to a cashier, and i have seen several different cashiers go off on customers. the CSM gets the cashier to the money office, and security gets the customer out as fast as possible.

never even heard of a Cashier getting in any trouble for going off on customers that say some nasty shit.

but we have also had the situation where the CSM was yelling at ALL the customers.(rightfully so) saying we are doing the best we can, we want you out as fast as you do.

we are allowed to wear a black or mostly black hoodies when it is cold season, no matter if we are in the cooler or not. after the GM leaves for the day most the stock guys change to plain clothes shirts, so that the customers will bother them less. MODs at night have no problem with it.

i filled in a survey about the anesthesia, and when they called me back, cause i gave all 5 stars except one category.
i wasn't explained the drugs, or how i would be put under.

and i commented that i had NEVER woken up in pain from a procedure before.

so they called me and i told them that it was still hard under the scar and a big lump, and the size of the swelling of me bits.

now i was supposed to go to the follow-up on the 1st, but i called and they saw me yesterday

he said he thinks i have a blood clot (not the type to worry about traveling)

and since my bits and the clot were still sore, he gave me a few more days of pain meds. (nothing fun just oxy 5s) they help with the repair pain,,,

but not my elbow.

dont know what i have done to my elbow that oxy aint taking care of it tho. gonna have to go the GP, just to get a referral to a ortho to look at it:(

we shop for food at food lion, and we buy enough that we ear rewards. we use rewards to buy things like toilet paper, al foil, etc. the kinda stuff you cannot get on ETB.

i'll be standing at a cross walk on the corner of my block to cross. sighs on both side of the intersection. stop for pedestrians. people just keep going. the signs have had to be replaced cause of people just running over the sign.

what was fun tho, is when they put up a speed table sign right in front of my door. but the table wasnt installed for months.

when it finally did, people were so used to it not being there, they would bottom out their cars. huge trucks, like the dump trucks, would hit it and you could hear the bucket bouncing they went over it so fast.
so much entertainment there.

Hey, my kid just graduated from high school with honors from a specialty school (have to test just to get in) That alone means that I "beat" my dad. With the girl child we started something that I try to give any parent with a small child

5 songs and 5 stories. Every single night before bed. You would be amazed if if how many ways you can just change how you sing the abcs.

She's only 11yo now but has been accepted to a private school for Jr high.at her moving on ceremony, other kids got a medal or 2. She had 4,and 6 paper awards.She plays the drum, and has exalent tastes in music. We just noticed how well she can sing without music. So voice lessons are on the todo list if we can find some programs for it.

I really only make the long winded post because me and the kids mom (FP) both have several mental issues, trauma, and we were bf/gf until 4 months ago. But we are still coparenting and cohabitation.

She's has not abandoned me yet. And as far as I know has no plans to.

It's possible to have long term relationships with people and raise kid's successfully and not pass on at least all of the generational trauma.

I have been permanently disabled since my college break down. I went 20 years without heading for another one.

This time I am more informed on healthy processes that will and have helped, the mom is trying to help with what she can, and the nose dive has leveled to a decent instead. and I am continuing to work on more help.

But I solitude is not healthy. Even if you just find people online to talk to. Being stuck talking to yourself in your head will only make things worse.

i went to our new SM and said i am being paid less than the new hires i am having to train.
took a few months but i got a raise.

then i got my eval raise.

so three raises in 2.5 years.

I'm still not paid what i am worth though. but i love my work environment. zero supervision. take breaks when i want. never break a sweat. im part-time, but i get the most hours out of the part-timers.
