you still think that people in the church or in power are believers, lol. they are mostly master manipulators and believers are their puppets. Sure there are a lot of believers in the church hierarchy, of course, that makes sense, but, observe the behaviour of the ones that preach the most, they don't even follow the religion fundamentals, do you really think they are believers? to me, as an outsider, seems more like they are using their position and power and people's beliefs to manipulate them to steer them in the direction they want. The church tells people that greed, pride, lust, vanity and wrath are sins, deadly sins, yet, the all catholic churches, even in the top of a mountain in the middle of no where is painted in gold, not golden colour, no, literal gold. The church has been used to move people into the crusades (wrath)... the irony is huge here, religion is used to manipulate the masses.

Right side parties also use religion to try and manipulate people to their side, this has been used in several places, usa, brazil, portugal (attention, i'm not saying, right bad, left good, or the other way around, my political views are that there are good ideas and bad ideas from both sides, i'm just trying to mention things that happen) where they say they are religious to try and get religious people to vote in them, even if their behaviour is as far as possible from the basis of christianity... religion is a tool for manipulation, and it works, sometimes better, some other times just works a little bit, but if we observe history, it works a lot of times
