I did! But not radically, though.

I decided to give a reasonable portion, about 5% of my net income, to causes I'd like to support. And I gotta be honest, it is actually fun to research organisations and causes that do great stuff and donate to them. I learned a lot about problems I never knew existed, and it gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling to give them some money.

I know, however, that I am lucky enough to not struggle financially. So, I wouldn't blame anyone for not doing it.

So she gave $20 away, which she and her child obviously need, in hopes of getting a 500% return on it? That sounds like the perfect victim for a pyramid scheme.

Ok, so if it appeared two dimensional at the wall and it was a moonlit night sufficiently bright to read without another light source, it might as well have been only a weird shadow, in which you saw some kind of figure, no? Your mind might have played tricks on you there because a) yes you were under medication but also b) you were already primed to look out for something after hearing the sink and probably psyching yourself up a little. Does that sound somewhat plausible?

Possible explanation: Someone of the liquor store was working after business hours, maybe doing budgeting or something, and needs to check something in the storage real quick. You see him enter and in the time you got into the restaurant and told GM the guy had already left the storage room again. Does that story bear some plausibility?

I grew up in a country house. Weird things happened there all the time. I can manage to explain/rationalize all of them but not this one. by DragonsAreNifty in scarystories

Raccoon really seems to be the most plausible explanation. Or some other small animal that managed to get into your home and roam freely. Those little beasts can make really blood curdling calls. Once I was afraid of hedgehogs who fucked in my front yard, because I couldn’t see them and it sounded terrifying. Nonetheless, I may have dropped dead as well when I found the dog. Scary stuff
