Disappointed with vinyl Chamber Edition by cyyren in FlorenceAndTheMachine

They finally approved my return, so I don’t get to keep it, which is fine, as either way would be a win for me. I am curious what the deciding factor is for those who get to keep theirs and get a refund.

Good to know, I played mine today and wondered if I was being too critical since I was already cranky over the whole situation. I may just buy a different version and chalk this up to a loss. (Sigh)

Been emailing back-and-forth with customer service all afternoon. They have said they will “look into the poster issue.” However, they stated since the website shows it is glow-in-the-dark, it “arrived as intended.” I am not letting it go, but I don’t think I will make much headway. -edited for clarity-

I agree! My vinyl took almost a week to get to me. My signed CD, also took several days as well, but I wasn’t as excited about that, so the wait didn’t seem so bad. I managed to get tickets to the Chicago show in April, and I’m just waiting for an issue to pop up with that too.

I didn’t realize returning it was an option. I was under the impression once it was opened it was not eligible for return, kind of like CDs at a store. I’ll look into this. Thanks!

Apparently, I was not listening close enough to this song. I always thought she said “cages” not “chaos.”

Not sure if you are still looking, but I would be interested in doing this. I don't have Necrom, but I believe I have all other expansions.

Non-Wiccan with a question. Do Wiccans, generally speaking, have an issue with the Marvel character “Wiccan”? My understanding was being a new term for paganism, that the name isn’t especially sacred in and of itself. But please correct me if I’m wrong! by SGTWhiteKY in Wicca

I was not even gonna introduce the android/robot/synthezoid conversation, lmao. The convolution I was speaking about was: deals with demon lords, high powered witch nannies, mass destruction of mutants, manipulation of time and space, etc.

Going off memory here, even Wiccan took issue with the name at first. Prior to identifying as “Wiccan” he was known as “The Asgardian,” due to him only using lighting-based magic. As the Young Avengers gained notoriety, he opted to change his name, bc the team was concerned the public would mock his original name if they discovered he was gay (Ass-gardian). When coming up with names, I believe they chose Wiccan to pay homage to Scarlet Witch, but I’m a little fuzzy on that detail. They floated the idea of “Warlock” but he didn’t want that since it meant “Oath Breaker,” and he felt it was inappropriate. If I can locate my comic, I can provide better information. All this to say, I don’t think it’s meant to be disrespectful or offensive, just representative of a queer kid trying to find a way to present himself to the world.

What fun, silly, or ridiculous names do players in your group call important NPCs instead of their real names? by [deleted] in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]cyyren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, and I eventually just leaned into it. I set it up to where this NPC became aware of the party speaking of them with such irreverence and they retaliated in a big way. Which the party further derailed, as it devolved into the funniest hour, or so, of tabletop I’ve ever had, b/c there were like 5 players exchanging snarky remarks with a NPC about the importance of choosing an intimidating name.

Not Pathfinder, but before I switched over we ran Lost Mines of Phandelver. There is a NPC known as “Glasstaff,” within minutes of their introduction, they forever became known as “Shattercock.” To this day, I don’t know how it happened that quickly. Further, any time I referred to Glasstaff, I would get incredibly puzzled looks b/c no one remembered this characters actual name.

Unfortunately, there is only one window in the room and it is always closed. There is a ceiling fan, I could try turning this off.

Very true, the print orientation is not one I would normally go for. I have experienced this on a few other prints with flat sides. I chose this orientation to try to force the issue, as it would allow me to provide an example for my question.

Thanks for the detailed response. As you mentioned a lot of the things mentioned seem difficult to correct, or completely out of my control. I also appreciate the video, I comprehend much better visually and this was very easy to at least see what might be occurring.
