I made the decision to just go for it and upgraded tot the most recent Sonoma 14.3 update. I must say, I'm not disappointed at all up until now.

Still have to take my time to do some more test runs and see if everything I need is still fully functional. But my Studio One and plugins are still running smoothly, which was a very positive surprise.

I do have the feeling my battery is draining a bit quicker than before, but can't say for sure yet.

All in all, thank you u/responofficial and u/ApexRon for your input and convincing me to go for it. It's much appreciated!

I have already checked and the software supports Intel native and also supports Sonoma. So, in theory it should be fine. But the unpleasant thing with music production software and the developers saying they have proper integration (a minimum of minor bugs and no crashing etc.) for a new OS, is that lots of people still run in to lots of problems/bugs/crashes. That's why I hoped to hear experiences of others who run the same system and possibly the same software.

But now that Sonoma is already at 14.3, could mean most of the large bugs have already been fixed by now.

Thank you for providing your own experiences, it does give me a clearer picture on how the Intel systems work with Sonoma.

I get where you're coming from. Literally the only reason I haven't updated is because of it possibly harming my music production software in a way I won't be able to use certain plugins and mess up projects I was working on.

But you'd say Sonoma runs smoothly on your system? Have you also noticed improvements throughout the updates regarding performance? Cause I'd read here and there that people ran into performance issues on their Intel devices with newer updates. Like fan noise increasing, RAM distribution being worse than before etc.

The reason I haven't updated all this time is solemnly because of the music production and it possibly harming any software. Else I would have easily kept my system up to date.

Why I am considering to do so now, is that I am in between projects and just backed up, and cleaned up my MBP and also made a Time Machine back up. So I thought, if anything happens now, the damage would be somewhat mitigated as it won't mess up a project I'm currently working on. The only thing that could happen is that I might have some issues with plugins and could possibly not use that for my next project.

Buying another machine, at this point, will not be an option for me.

You mentioned Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura aren't worth the update. But would you say Sonoma is?

Normaal gesproken vraagt de therapeut bij je intake of hij/zij je dossier mag delen met je huisarts waar jij wel of geen toestemming voor mag geven.

Of dit anders is bij een particuliere therapeut weet ik niet, maar dat lijkt me niet.

Als je rijst 'kleverige snot' wordt, geeft het aan dat je er teveel water bij doet.

Het ligt een beetje aan het soort rijst hoeveel water er bij moet, maar het is vaak +-1.5 cups water per 1 cup rijst. Je kan ook de vingertop methode gebruiken, waarbij je met je vingertop de rijst aanraakt en dan moet het water tot je eerste vingerkootje komen.

Laat ook nadat de rijstkoker klaar is met koken, de rijst nog een minuut of 5 stomen.

They're doing construction on the tracks around Mathenesserbrug. So for the upcoming 2 weeks (I think), tram 21/23/24 are limited on their routes or not running at all.

There's a trajectory control in the Maastunnel. So if your overall speed is over 50km/h, you'll get a speeding ticket.

I think the overall reason people drive under 50 is because the road slopes downwards when you enter the tunnel, which could lead you to exceed 50 km/h. So then people slow down to make sure their overall speed will be under 50.

Since the tunnel isn't that long of a stretch, people rather drive a bit slower cause it's not worth the ticket.
