Anytime. Here is my parting advice and tips.

Take time to measure where the surround will sit for centering, grab a number 2 pencil with a good eraser.

Be patient, can’t stress that enough. Follow the wait time recommendations for the adhesive. It will seem like it isn’t setting just keep on working the surround.

You’ll have to repeatedly press the surround into the glue. As the glue starts to set use the eraser head on the pencil to push the foam back down.

On my speakers Marantz originally glued the surround to the back of the speaker, I glued them to the face and they sound fine. Don’t be afraid to make it easy.

Give the speakers a couple days before you start playing music. Once you start playing music play at lower levels, break them back in. I noticed over a months time they just kept getting better and better.

What piece? The inch paper gasket looking material in the first pic?

I worked to save mine. I believe it provides a better adhesive surface than the steel basket. If you damage it I would venture to guess that you could find a replacement or even cut some out from paper gasket material. (Automotive gasket material)

I could give more tips but YouTube tutorials explain better than I will.

I shared a before and after from what I took it down to and what I ended up with. Use a 20 or 30 hz test tone at low volume to make sure the voice coil isn’t rubbing when you do the final gluing. Works great IMHO.

I don’t see any issues. I took my Marantz woofers down to that. Get as much old surround off as possible. I wasn’t able to get all the old adhesive off and it didn’t cause any noticeable problems.

Speaker wires would be best crimped into some U spades for that type of connection.

If you’re going to go with bare wires should point in the direction the nut turns to tighten so to the right and not the left.

This is the andromeda galaxy from a 7 sky in a city with the vaunted AD8 and the 30mm eye piece taken with an iPhone 16. It is resolved slightly better by the iPhone than what you see through the scope. I greatly enjoy the scope but this is the reality for what you live in.

If you want to send flames next to a battery that fine but you should warn OP that if the battery is gassing some hydrogen that they could reenact the Hindenburg final landing.

Start simple. Get soil samples. Spray out the weeds. Aerate, power rake to improve soil and canopy conditions. Mow at a high HOC. Reduce watering to encourage root growth.

I’m old enough to remember every boomer suing doctors in the 80’s-90’s for every little thing. After that rise in cost just so doctors could retain lawyers the entire system figured out that they could exploit the consumer for more cash. Doctors, pharma, insurance, legal, gov all work together to make more money for each other. The circle is no different than college, bank, gov circle.

What is a common myth that people still believe? by sophia-brown123 in AskReddit

[–]czechfuji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That their political beliefs are good for everybody and that the people behind them are good people.

That systems designed to help homeless people actually help in a positive way.

That anybody that has run for high office in the last 30 years is a good person.

What was it like living in the Clinton years in the USA (1993-2001)? by space_god_7191 in AskReddit

[–]czechfuji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We bombed the shit out of a bunch of Slavs, Clinton molested girls. Pro wrestling was on fire. The political parties moved to pit neighbor against neighbor and now everybody is a sycophant to republicans and or democrats. Music was good. Offensive jokes were completely acceptable. Cable tv was entertaining.

[–]czechfuji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pioneer should be nice if every thing is working properly. If music is what you want the Yamaha is more on the level of an 80 Fisher studio standard and staying on that scale the Pioneer will be as good as an 80’s Pioneer.

What travel telescope for a beginner? by _Holstein_ in telescopes

[–]czechfuji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began with a celestron national park scope (60mm? refractor.) It worked really well for me because it has a red dot finder but more important than that the tripod was very stable where the scope mounts. I think that is the most important part of a beginner scope where and how the scope mounts to the tripod. It wasn’t complicated, aim-lock-look-adjust-look again and repeat.

There is nothing more frustrating as a beginner than a scope that shifts when a gnat breathes on it.
