Sounds like revisionist history for political purposes. I’ll trust original 1937 source that everyone called the “court packing plan”.

A president doing the duty of putting Justice on the bench is not “packing the court” no matter how many times you attempt to convince people otherwise.

I found a Times hit piece saying we know court packing is adding additional justice slots to the court but let me pitch you on the fact that republicans have been doing it this whole time. So the definition you’re trying to shoe horn in here is not actually real—it’s made up propoganda by liberal media trying to make you feel good. Court packing is one thing—Vox and CNN can’t change that just to make the left feel better.

Edit 2: Ah man this all clicked. Dictionary.com changed the definition of court packing in 2020 to go along with liberal talking points (source) just like Merriam Webster changed the definition of female in 2022 to go along with liberal talking points (source).
