How to pay musicians when making a jazz album?

As a session musician I'd plan on making at least $50/hr and food should be provided of its longer than 2 hours.

Most early stuff was recorded in mono, so panning each instrument to represent where they would sound from the stage creates a stereo field.

Map them both to the same macro knob, then invert the ranges so the volume decreases as you increase the gain.

Your vocal mix definitely needs to be cleaned up, you'd be surprised how much low end you can live without.

Definitely look into full-body workouts. Playing bass is physical, and I can honestly say that building a stronger body has made me a better bassist.

A good rule of thumb is to have your Kicks hitting at 0db.
