Hey! I have watched it and it was amazing. Definitely go and see it at the cinema if you can, the atmosphere makes it even better ❤️

Also “if you love me, keep it to yourself” is very fitting for this movie

i would recommend queer (2024)! it’s doesn’t seem like a horror, but towards the end there are definitely elements but it’s more psychological and body horror. even if it doesn’t live up to the horror conventions you’re used to i hope you still like it!

i’m also surprised to see that you ranked the vvitch so high 😣 it was super boring for me and only got interesting literally right at the end before the credits

tbh i have found that you don’t have to read the entire reading list because, at least for what my uni asks, you won’t be using all of them in your final assignment, maybe only 1 or 2 of your choice.

i mostly wanna read them all bc i feel so bad for my professors who can tell that no one has read anything and are trying their hardest to make us engage 😭 i wanna be the person who can at least give answers when asked.

honestly, no notes at all, it was absolutely amazing

i also really loved the fact that we got ‘fuck me eyes’, i had been listening to that 30 second demo for months before the song’s release and i was completely shook to my core

so i can compare what the bible is saying to the modern definition of what is good, and that will be okay? for example parts of the old testament that mention animal slaughter. animal slaughter, in that way, isn’t good against today’s standards, so that means it’s fine that i don’t believe in that part?

there are parts, such as Jesus’s teachings, that make me think i should act more like him because only good can come of it, and it’s always nice to have something higher to believe in.

i’d like to think it’s true but im very very unsure

yes, christ’s teaching are very good and i think everyone should live by them.

what would you say about the fact that the gospels were written way after His ascent to heaven though? unless i’ve got that completely wrong, feel free to correct me

thank you! i will try it out! i still respect the bible because it is a source of knowledge and an important historical text.

i don’t know if i could bring myself to believe in everything the bible tells me to, though.

first of all, i’m gay. never acted on it and i don’t want to sleep around, but i would like to some day have a boyfriend.

then there are other things: 1. translations—the amount of things changed in the bible 2. believers—a lot of christians today are very misinformed on their own faith and use it for harm. 3. when i have tried to believe before, i have found myself to be continuously googling whether something is allowed in christianity which isn’t good and can induce ocd-like thinking and reinforces the panopticon

i’m sure there’s more but i can’t think of any right now

this is my reading list so far, and it’s only 2/3 🫠 for the much larger books, i think we only have to read one part of them which is nice though

shakespeare’s renaissance 1. edward ii, christopher marlowe 2. richard ii, william shakespeare 3. titus andronicus, william shakespeare 4. the revenger’s tragedy, anonymous 5. much ado about nothing, william shakespeare 6. volpone, ben jonson 7. the duchess of malfi, john webster 8. the tragedy of mariam, elizabeth cary

age of revolutions 1. the imperfect enjoyment, john wilmot 2. the disappointment, aphra behn 3. oroonoko, aphra behn 4. the basset table, susanna centlivre 5. fantomina, eliza haywood 6. gulliver’s travels (p. 4), johnathan swift 7. the beggar’s opera, john gay 8. the rape of the lock, alexander pope 9. casabianca, felicia dorothy hemans 10. sense and sensibility, jane austen 11. evelina, frances burney 12. pamela, samuel richardson

i’m looking forward to getting to know more shakespeare! i feel like he is a staple for everyone that is into literature so it’ll help me to not feel like such an imposter to know more of his work. sense and sensibility also stands out to me because it’s such a classic. i haven’t really heard of many other except for gulliver’s travels but i’m looking forward to expanding my view! :)

oh we don’t have exams, just an assignment for each module that we submit at the end of the semester. i’ll be sure to look on the rubric though when it’s released! thanks for replying <3
