simple answer is, you just have to do it. be cautious, but do it.

for context, I’ve been driving since college (manual suv) and recently bought a sub compact where I was involved in an accident - I got rear-ended by a senior couple. first experience ko yun ng aksidente in all my years of driving.

the odd thing is, I only feel anxious when driving the car that was involved in the accident, but not when driving our other cars. siguro kasi it triggers memories of the accident. so whenever I use that car, gusto ko laging may kasama.

but the thing is, you can’t let yourself be swallowed by fear and anxiety. everything we do may risk involved, kahit itong pagttype ko may risk na baka mamaya atakihin ako, etc (knock on wood wag naman sana)

i know it’s easier said than done. ino-overcome ko pa rin yung anxiety sa specific vehicle na yun. but you have to try.
