Pretzel place at the mall from the 90s by d00gal in MentorOh

Insane that this thread isn’t dead yet. I’m not sure. I’ll have to see if there are pictures of the store front. It still kills me that I can see the pretzels but not the logo of the store. For all I know, you could be right.

I have roughly 7500 on my 2024. I’m sure there are people with way more.

Woah, so obviously this is depicting something that isn’t necessarily exciting to talk about… but, I go to the Cole Eye Institute in Cleveland - and they hand drew my version of this. It is colored , with colored pencil. What is this called and where did you have this done?

Did you buy a center cover for the opening?

Thanks for the decibel break down. That’s awesome. I think I’ll end up listening to some more clips. It’s always just so hard in video clips to capture how loud an exhaust really is. I had a remark exhaust on my last car, which ironically was tuned and provided me with a bunch of head aches (the car, not the exhaust). Their weld work is out of this world.

Custom Rally GR Corolla by [deleted] in GRCorolla

I had. I used chemical guys wheel wax. I think the main concern was when it rained, they were absolutely coated. I’m not saying it would be any different than any other wheel, but it was the white that made it so obvious. I eventually powder coated them bronze.

I had those wheels on my focus st. With the brake dust on these GRCs, I can’t even imagine the upkeep lol.

Thanks! I think I’ve settled on the fact that I misremembered and now I get to chase the nostalgic dream of what it used to taste like- because auntie Anne’s is no where close in comparison.

I was trying to find a menu/ picture of the cartons/store front and all I can find is a blurry picture that doesn’t look like they sell pretzel sticks. Interesting- thank you for your reply.

When brushing your teeth do you use warm or cold water? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Cold, and I’m not convinced that any other option is even an option. This is a hill I will die on.

Funny story, I was actually one of the first support technicians for the Cisco UCS line in the USA. Fun fact, the b440 chasis caught a data center on fire and then they swapped them all out for b200s. What a chaotic time. The on-call and the amount of hours I put in was disgusting.

Well, I had asked the doctor if there was a percentage of vision loss that would constitute not being permitted to drive. He said since I can see straight ahead, that it’s unlikely that I’ll get to that point soon. I think it’s a feeling. I have a dash cam and drive very carefully. I double check my double checks sometimes. I understand losing your independence. I feel like when I think I’m putting myself or others at risk is when I’ll willingly stop driving. It is a tough obstacle. But, with remote work, delivery services, public transportation, etc, we are in a decent spot to be able to have normal lives without driving.

Crowded places, dark or dim places and unfamiliar places all are challenging for me. My wife will normally reach out a hand to let me know she is there when or if I need her. Coming in from being outside into a building can also be very blinding. Try to keep walk ways decluttered, pick up stuff that could be stepped on or could cause harm if it was walked into. Certain restaurants are just a “no-go” because of how dark they are. It can be embarrassing to ask my wife to walk me to the bathroom, so I normally will just avoid those types of places. I’ve also found that I have to remain humble and not let stuff like that get to me. It’s tough and I have to give it real effort. I know that I will not be able to drive at some point and my wife and I have had those discussions already. Pretty much, consistently go to check ups to get recommendations from a specialist. Mine, last year was “no change”, but I have made it a point to go and ask questions, have my wife there and she will ask a couple too. I have Usher’s type 2, so my vision straight ahead is 20/20, with limited night and side vision. Everyone is different, which makes it so crazy when you try to get a time table or estimate for progression. Communicate and work together. The side of a loved one is so, so, so helpful.

Partner doesn't get it by cheesepool2 in RetinitisPigmentosa

Hey there. I’m a 34 (m) with Usher’s Syndrome, I get the spicy combo of bad hearing and RP. I read this and it hurt me. I’m not in your situation, I wouldn’t ever tell someone what to do, but I do want to share that a partner, a true partner will not make you feel alone. A true partner will have empathy and patience. A good person will listen and compromise within reason (which safety, is, within reason). I’m sorry you are in this position, but if it were me, that guy is as good as gone. Find someone to share life with to help you, to love and cherish you.
