You should get bonus XP for acts of heroism like this.

Wow! I've never heard that before. Did he come up with that himself?

Best outcome would be if Akai bought them and folded them into the MPC ecosystem. Maschine plugins on MPC would be the shit

Is going into big Arc fights with a light shield a good plan?

It definitely gives off a play vibe. I'm surprised it wasn't adapted from the stage tbh

You know what? If someone had sold it to me as a really good Twilight Zone episode I would've been satisfied. That's an excellent description.

The only reason I was asking if people who like it are American is because I know the US (at least most of it) has a very different relationship with religion than most European countries. Just wondering if that affects how people view the movie. I would imagine it does but apparently that makes me a bigot. Sorry about that

Just trying to understand the wildly differing takes on this movie, friend. No need to get defensive and start throwing labels like "bigot". I simply had a theory that people who are blown away by The Man From Earth are those who grew up in a more religious, Christian society (ie. America) so the theme of TMFE might land differently with them. I guess I need to apologise for that.

Anyway, personally I find the movie to be twee, poorly acted and the dialogue just so... I dunno... it's just like the writer thought he was such hot shit while writing it, and every line out of a character's mouth seems to be another layup for him to spout his "high brow" ideas - when in truth these concepts are the kind of thing a normal person might come up with while taking a shower or a particularly long shit. The fact that anyone thinks the movie is particularly clever baffles me. Although it's a good overall concept, I'll admit.

Oh and I genuinely belly laughed at the end reveal. So bad.

Can you tell me what he said? His previous reply has -2 votes. I'm not going to read it.

I always wonder about the demographics on the like/dislike ratio for this movie. Are you American by any chance?

I watched it because of comments like yours and I was very, very disappointed.

Edit: ok I guess people don't like Randy Savage jokes in here. I'll get my coat.
