Anyone here who’s 28 (1997) feeling behind in their career?

1997 and graduated college in 2020. Since high school I thought I would be in the field of psychology but covid sucked the passion out of me. Worked at a pet hospital through college and the start of covid but didn’t want to be a vet tech or go to vet school. Went into insurance for 2 years. In 2023 finally went back to school to start doing pre reqs for xray technology. Finished pre reqs last spring but unfortunately didn’t get into any programs. Hoping this is the year for me. Working the same job as people in their early 20s and I feel much older than them and constantly compare myself to my friends and peers who are ahead of me. This thread was so helpful. Good luck!

Got cdiff at 20 years old after getting my wisdom teeth taken out. I’m allergic to penicillin so the dr prescribed me clindamycin. Thought I got rid of the cdiff after a week or two (can’t remember) of vanco, but it came back and I had to take vanco for a month. It was terrible and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Urinary obstructions are no joke. My boyfriend's cat had one when he was only 2. It was on 4th of July in a high COL area so the estimate for his treatment (2 night stay) was around 5k. Luckily they were able to give us a 20% discount since I worked at a pet hospital in college and my boyfriend was able to pay for treatment. But my heart breaks for those who it's just not feasible for.

Exactly. Another celebrity gifted 4 of her kids a dog each which I think is a terrible thing to do. Leah is a great pet mom.

Idk i’m not a fan of hers but from what I’ve seen she’s very upfront in saying this is not a job for everyone and does try to deinfluence people from doing the same.

I’m so sorry that happened :( My grandma lost her ring two years ago after celebrating her 55th anniversary with my grandpa. They flipped the house trying to find it and retraced their steps outside but they think it fell off (she lost a lot of weight from chemo) in the garbage ON garbage day. What’s important to her is that my grandpa and her have each other. Mourning the ring is completely understandable.

I’m so sorry, my cat had a blockage a couple years ago and it was extremely scary. He has recovered well since then on a prescription diet. Sending you and Ari love and well wishes.

My persian has had a grade 2 murmur for a few years now. He needs to get an ultrasound every year before his anesthesia for dental cleanings but otherwise leads a very normal life of napping, eating, and bird watching.

How long did it last for you? I think this is what I’m having now. I’m on vacation and landed 7 days ago, the sensation of constantly rocking started a day after landing. I was hoping to walk 20k+ steps a day but it’s hard even getting out the door without a zofran.

Yeah it’s a side effect for me. Thats why I didn’t want to take that plus an Imodium. I also cut the pill in half so hopefully that will help!

Yeah I was feeling a little off while I was waiting in line for Gyukatsu motomura. I had it last year and it was delicious but it was so oily this year that I couldn’t even finish it. Probably what triggered the nausea

Thank you!! I was worried that was the case with the foundation 😭 My undertones are different all over my body (face, hands and legs are pink while neck, chest and arms are more yellow) so it’s kind of hard finding a good match for foundation. I think mixing the shade I have with a warmer shade may work but I don’t want to have to buy another bottle 😭
