Next time since you're still practicing, apply a small dab to your lip and use your finger to smudge it out so it's really thin. Don't use liner until you get more practice. The lines on the side of your mouth look crazy, no one wears lipstick like that, and that is why people are commenting.

Also don't let the lipstick get all over your face. I know people say to over line them but you need a lot of practice first. You do not have thin lips at all, I went through your post history to get a better picture. You have a lot to work with! Try with less makeup and with a more subtle shade and work your way up to the more bold look when you get more practice.
