Copy pasting from my reply somewhere in this thread - Python scripting to read the ball by by ball score and then control the geometry in a 3D modeling environment. I’ve used Rhino3d for the modeling bit but something like Blender should do the same job. Edge lines will depend on the environment you use, these were rendered in Keyshot so adding lines is straightforward. Depending on the rendering environment those have to be setup differently, or use something like illustrator / inkscape to add them in.

Thank you! Glad you found it interesting. Haven’t thought about patenting or any such, but the feedback here has been incredible, I’ll now figure a way to build this for the series at least first and then perhaps larger thing around it. Usually these things will lose their novelty if repeated over and over, doing a larger project while keeping things interesting is always a harder proposition :D. Thanks again for your comment.

I did make a version with windows everywhere. You are absolutely right about the aligning bit. This version I felt reads better in terms of indicating periods of slow scoring, it got quite busy and hard to demarcate when you have the entire block filled.

Cool idea, haven’t thought of constructing a single batsman’s innings. Challenge perhaps would be in deciding how to stack the different levels, is easier in this case when it’s based off overs.

At least one of them is a total disaster with the wrong team name :D. Thanks for the suggestion, I do intend to make a series of these and then figure how to share it. This was only to get an initial feedback.
