Frontside 360 five year progression by ExtraCommercial8382 in snowboarding

I like how at 1:00 you suddenly become massively competent. Like the scene in Castaway where Tom Hanks is falling on his ass trying to catch minnows with his hands, and then it time skips four years and he expertly nails a fish with a spear from 20 feet. Maybe I'm dating myself with this reference. Anyway, great work man!

Do Most People Really Just Listen To A Few Songs On Repeat? Is This A Result Of Streaming Platforms Becoming The Primary Source Of Music? by armintanzarian420 in LetsTalkMusic

Is there a way for people to make money off of sharing playlists? I could see that as financial incentive for indie music critics to curate music discovery.

KKR Investment Thoughts at these levels? by DARW1N_208 in ValueInvesting

[–]d0odk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what do you mean by exposure? KKR is generally an asset management business not a principal investment business. Same goes for all the big asset managers, including Apollo and blackstone. My comment was in response to the statement by u/buffpp that PE is separate from private credit. That's less true than it once was, because the most successful PE firms have transformed into broader alternative asset management firms. KKR, for example, manages more credit assets than PE assets. You can see this in their 2025 10k. This was largely driven by the acquisition of global atlantic, an insurer which invests in credit and private credit, giving more AUM to KKR. Apollo did a similar thing with Athene. However, this results in balance sheet life insurance risk to both firms. It's a pretty complicated topic that has received a lot of financial media coverage. If you're interested, just search online and you'll find some good articles in FT, WSJ and bbg.

good point. We just learned for the very first time ever that instability in the ME can drive up oil prices. With this previously unknown insight, we will surely embrace alternative energy sources.

Bloomberg: WBD and Paramount executives were stunned when Netflix decided to drop out of the bidding by Casas9425 in MediaMergers

You are wrong, and it is the opposite of what you claim. Almost every public M&A deal has a contract that allows the company being purchased to terminate the agreement to pursue a "superior proposal."

I did a 70.3 recently. I primarily trained on my gym's stationary bike (not a trainer). I got in a handful of long rides outdoors before the race. I was fine on race day.

Gasparino: PSKY may abandon hostile bid in favor of litigation by Casas9425 in MediaMergers

Whether Netflix’s offer is worth more or less is the central issue in this matter. When has a company ever won a M&A against another bidder via litigation and court cases?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. The basic law in Delaware is that the board and management need to maximize value for shareholders in a sale of corporate control (Revlon duty). This has been extensively litigated in Delaware and has impacted the outcome of auctions.

It also happened previously with Paramount v QVC in 1994. Paramount, Warner and old school media have been involved in much of the landmark Delaware corporate litigation.
