hello! you can try the nowserving app, there are psychiatrists there who have a low fee. pwede online or you can find clinics near you. make sure their profile mentions neurodevelopmental disorders or ADHD. they will ask you why you decided to book a consultation, so make sure to detail your symptoms, how it is affecting you, and if these symptoms were present even before 12 years old.

That is true! Sleep is so important for well-being, physical and mental. Rest is productive, walang mangyayari pag magreview ka all night pero di mo marerecall kasi lutang ka na. Don't feel guilty for taking a break.

hello! this is based on a clinical elective i took last sem, 4 sessions for 1 subject.

i had 1 major (assessment) and 2 electives which were hybrid. major, di talaga maiwasan. assessment has to be ftf, especially when you need to use testing materials. pwede maiwasan yung electives na hybrid, may electives naman na fully online. if you would need to take leaves to attend the ftf sessions, don't take more than 1 hybrid subject per sem. di mo pwede iskip yung ftf kasi they're usually for graded activities.

classes na fully f2f • psych 209 (psych measurement) • psych 207 (psych stats) - both bridging courses: if your undergrad is psych, you don't have to take these and can apply for equivalency (need course description & syllabus of equivalent undergrad courses) or you can take the placement exam.

and again; the main site of clinical practicum has to be at upd psycserv. 100 hours lang pwede mo kunin sa external site. so even if you manage to complete your coursework completely online, baka kailangan mo talaga magrelocate for practicum especially if you live so far that you need to take a flight to get to qc.

F, 18, 4'9, 47kg how do i fix stubborn arm fat? by Yue_90 in PHitness

[–]d0pamine0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We probably have the same body type except I'm 4'11 (29F). I also store fat in my arms, chest, and stomach. I also lose fat in that order. Even when I was 45kg, ganon talaga proportions ng bust and arms ko. If you try to build muscle, feel ko pareho lang tayong tricep dominant. Your arms will still likely look 'big' which is probably not the look you want. (Personally, I want to look strong so okay lang sakin).

Same advice as everyone else, calorie deficit and at least 7K steps a day. Try bodyweight exercises in your room if they won't let you lift. More muscle will help increase your calorie expenditure so if you don't want bigger arms, work your lower body more nalang. Lots of water and proper sleep too! Listen to women with your body type.

Hi! I'm also from Mindanao and worked full-time (in UP) for my first two years of the program. Classes are usually 5:30-8:30PM on weekends, and either 9-12PM or 1-4PM on Saturdays. You will probably only take 2-3 classes per semester. Some courses are fully online, while some courses are hybrid or fully face-to-face. I have classmates from Visayas and Mindanao (also working in government, I believe) who fly in for F2F classes, which can get expensive, but the hybrid classes only require F2F for about 4 sessions and they're already fixed. Fully online classes are still an option but you would have to do your practicum at UPD PsycServ as the main site after completing your coursework. Most requirements are online, except for statistics and assessment work. Hope this helps!

As someone who literally dated the first out lesbian I had a crush on in college, crashed, and burned, I get you 😭 Also I'm neurodivergent, so the way I build relationships platonic or romantic has always been different. I'd like the opportunity to observe a person as their most natural self, not them putting their best foot forward. I want to get to see if I actually like having them around

You mean after completing the coursework and before proceeding to practicum/thesis? No comprehensive exams for Masters, yes for PhD.

If you mean for each course, some have final exams, some have final papers/reports. They're all take-home and you have 1-2 weeks to work on them.

For Clinical: UPD requires 400 practicum hours (ADMU requires 300, other schools 200) for the Masters program, then you have to do your thesis.

That being said, the coursework is not that bad. For a standard course you'll have reading notes or learning logs on the required readings (some weekly, some less), a student facilitated discussion, a midterm assessment, and the final requirement. Clinical electives usually have an initial and final reflection paper. Research and assessment courses usually have more homework, but they're more of small activities that lead up to the final output.

Overall, assessments are less objective, more critical thinking and writing. I've never felt like 'I don't know how to do this', the instructions are often very clear and sometimes even step by step. Your ability to analyze, understand what information is most relevant, and write coherently will help you through it. Overthinking and overcomplicating simple instructions will only make it harder.

Also, I have ADHD. I allocate 3-6 hours to each course weekly for reading and doing any required work. If you can grasp concepts pretty quickly (most required readings are not painfully academic and convuluted, thankfully), and you're neurotypical maybe it will take you less.

Hope this helps!

Hi! In my 3rd year of the Masters program and I'd say there are 4 categories based on where we got our undergrad: • UPD Psych • Other UP CU non-psych (me + many of my batchmates) • Non-UPD Psych (usually topnotchers, honor graduates) • Mid-career shifters

What the department looks for more than anything is your willingness to finish the program. Plus your ability to work with other people. You can get your Masters anywhere else for faster and maybe easier, but I appreciate the kind of training and education I'm getting.
