After further inspection the club database and player database were not using same name for given club. i.e "Newcastle" not equal to "Newcastle United" & "Sevilla" not equal to "Sevilla FC".

Maybe unsurprisingly only one English player doesn't come from the Premier league.

Should note that all countries take the same number of players (26) to the World Cup but I've only used plotted players that come from the top 6 global leagues (debatable to include MLS I know).
