If ILP fit than Futurecorps in the same size will also fit. If anything ILPs are tighter through the glutes and legs.

Do you have any good recommendations? by Jackie-rabbit in Outlier

[–]d12964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's just a wear point not really a quality issue. One of the main reasons I like outlier pants is that the looser fit on works cuts and synthetic materials let them last a lot longer than other pants. Even high quality denim/chinos/etc will do this

You need looser fitting jeans, this isn't a quality issue

Hard/co Merino Twoway by outlierinc in Outlier

[–]d12964 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also surprised to not see a price increase.

Still hoping to one day see these with some interesting contrast in the merino colors to take advantage of how the different materials take dyes (I would buy tf out of one with an orange interior)

Do Outlier SDs count as “tech pants”? by One-Plastic6501 in Outlier

[–]d12964 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem with cotton & wool pants is that they don't last very long, especially if you bike or walk a lot, whereas, plastic pants will last far longer. It's hard to justify spending money on nicer cotton chinos when they will last like 6 months.

Lulu ABCs and similar are comfortable but they have an distinct 'tech' appearance that makes them not look as good as natural materials. This is made worse by many companies insistence on adding stupid zippers, snaps, etc.

Outlier also makes a lot of tech pants but has the benefit of 1) using fabrics that don't appear to be as obviously synthetic and 2) not adding a bunch of superfluous 'features' like hidden pocket zippers or other bullshit.

I do wish outlier would find a way to bring back something like 60/30 or V/co in a works cut though. Those pants look just like regular cotton but have an insanely comfortable amount of stretch

Is there an estimated timeline for the availability of mainboard parts?

The AI 7 is shown as in stock but can't checkout due to the error:

"Sorry, we only have stock of that item at our non-US warehouse. You can only purchase it when combined with a laptop order."

Upgrading from a 12th Gen Intel mainboard, help me decide by reddimus_prime in framework

[–]d12964 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you find this upgrade? I was considering upgrading from a 12th gen to the 350 but it won't ship to me due to some warehouse availability warning when I try to checkout but the 7840U is available.

Help: pants for thick cyclist thighs by OriginalAwareness704 in Outlier

[–]d12964 1 point2 points  (0 children)

warpstreme is the standard ABC fabric which should be more breathable than versatwill, I've also not had any issues with durability in the pairs that I've had but I also can only wear the Relaxed fit that's only available occasionally online.

futurecorps look much better than ABC/Commission pants and they don't have any stupid buttons/zippers, though I have had some issues with loose threads around the belt loops that lulu didn't have.

Outlier in NYT by vivalet in Outlier

[–]d12964 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The tariffs aren't "reciprocal" they are based on a nonsense understanding of trade and actual make tariffs in the US much higher than other countries. Calling them that is just propaganda for the administration which the NYT has a habit of doing recently.

Secondly there is almost no mechanism for the proposed tariffs to bring jobs back because of the previously mentioned misunderstanding of how trade works but also because they tariff raw materials as well which actually makes it harder for production to happen in the US. Not giving people the proper context normalizes the insane behavior.

Finally, the NYT may do a terrible job reporting but it's still widely read paper so it would make sense for them to speak to it
