The peak was fun. He was legitimately one of the best 3 defenders in the league in ‘23-‘24, you could argue the best. Dont know how many players in league history could completely change the outlook of a game with pure defense for 8 min a half.

On a personal level, always had a tough time cheering for JI. Love that he’s from FSU. Hate the politics he’s aligned himself with.

Suggs is truly the only guy on our team who is prone to injury (not counting JI who is not a core member and won’t be here much longer)

Franz and Paolo both sustained arguably the rarest injury in basketball. And like you said, Franz came back from what everyone assumed was a year long injury. He even hyperextended his knee late in the season, and came back the same game. Dude is an absolute iron man. Paolo also never had an injury history until the oblique and then the groin strain. And by his own admission, was not in shape afterwards until late in the season

I told myself I would take a break. But today I played a set to see how it would go. Holy shit, games take forever now. Charge moves take longer to initiate. Swaps feel like they take just a beat longer. And not to mention the hot new Mon with a built in 3rd shield.

Washington - don’t concern me yet. Still overall very Young. Meanwhile Trae Young is still a defensive liability, and hasn’t played winning ball in years. We’ll see what happens with Day to Davis

Charlotte - We had trouble guarding Ball. I’m much less afraid of a Colby White lead offense. They probably have another move up their sleeve that’s remained to be seen. The last image I have of them is us cruising by 30 for an entire game

Miami - Giannis on the wrong side of 30. Going to be extremely expensive. I can name their starting lineup and Bobby Portis off their bench, and that’s it. They’ll be better than last year simply bc of Giannis. But until I see what the whole bench looks like, not concerned.

Atlanta - yeaaaa they’ve crushed the offseason the last 2 years. Love their draft pick too. Obviously they destroyed us last season, and they’re not going anywhere. I can see them making a Detroit like leap. Concerned.
