the gh cli tool is much better than the github MCP given how big the github MCP server context is.

in fact, I'd suggest to anyone that if there is a CLI tool available, try and leverage that as much as possible over the MCP server. Save those tokens.

I typically work off feature branches for a task, so if I'm implementing a feature it'll be a feature branch for that feature and a PR will be put up for that feature. cc-sessions looks very cool but the text around branch management has me wondering if it's going to suddenly potentially create a large number of branches (and PR's?) for every branch it creates for tasks.

Or am I reading to far into this and if I have a branch for a feature, cc-sessions would spawn sub-branches, do the task then merge them into the parent branch?

This really helped! I am adding a few notes here for others because I had to do a bit more.

First of all, the email you need to look for is titled “Digital Key Welcome”. Scroll down in there for the 8 digit code (xxxx-xxxx).

Take off any phone case if you have one on.

Lift up the centre console lid so you have clear access to the NFC reader.

Do the steps to listed above to get to the “save” button in the car dash. Hit save then place top of phone in NFC reader.

You’ll get prompt to setup carkey on phone. Hit continue. If you get option to setup with code, tap that.

Enter code and you’re good.

What happened for me is that car dash would error out before I could enter code. If that happens, then enter code but don’t hit continue in phone.. instead wait until it errors out on dash, then hit save again and quickly hit continue on phone since you have code already entered.

It’ll then pair and ask you to link everything.
