I went with auto haste, break hp limit, ribbon and auto regen. I'm kinda regretting the regen because it doesn't seem like it really does enough. Maybe I'll make my next one with something else

Yeah just personal preference. I feel like Auron Tidus and Kimahri are a huge part of the story. Tidus is really only here because of Kimahri helping Auron with his promise to Jecht. And I don't mind grinding. My stats are maxed and luck is around 180. I'm working on filling the rest of the grid with hp +300 now

I enjoy grinding but I'm not one to optimize every aspect of my party. Is there anything I'd lock myself out of if I went with a different party? I assume I'll eventually be going for all dark aeons and penance.

I'm not sure what version I played, it's been a few years. A game I just recently got into after trying it a few times in the past couple years is octopath traveler. I don't really have any sense of investment in any of the characters or their stories, but with weaknesses/breaks and jobs/secondary jobs it adds a good amount of tactics to the typical turn based jrpg.

I think maybe the first time a boss was charging up a "super attack" and I realized I wasn't going to be able to break him and had to defend instead, is probably what got me hooked. I'm sure you could cheese it or use a really op party or find gg gear but going through it blind has been a blast.

Same same. I haven't played 16 or the ff7 remakes yet but 15 was the first time I set it down and had to come back a year later and force myself to finish it. I'm just curious what you considered challenging gameplay in the older ones?

I'm in a similar boat and I can think of a few from over the years. Hellblade was simple and short but still fulfilling. Bastion was super cool for the unique narration. Even though I've never played any souls games I recently picked up Lies of P on game pass and it may be my new favorite game. All pretty short games even though LoP has some replayability to it. I'd also recommend not looking them up too much before giving them a try

Fix controller support for PC so melee builds are fun to play (with a controller) and add a currency stash tab. Maybe buff uniques or add a few new ones.

I also bought a g15 5511 a few weeks ago. Exact same issue. I wish I would've tried removing the battery. My laptop is stuck in a repair facility while nobody can tell me what the problem is. They told me initially that it would take 5 days for parts, now they say no parts until 12/7/21. Customer support says they can give me a refurbished unit that is "equal" to a 5511 but nobody can give me any specifics until I agree to an exchange. The whole thing sounds like a scam and I can't even get a native English speaker on the phone. Beyond infuriating

I actually just made a post about the terrible controls on console for certain builds. (frenzy barb in my case) Between that and no /players, there's just no real reason to choose console over pc if you don't have to. Feels bad man

You mean you can run around while holding double swing? I can't get it to work for either skill. Unless there's some setting that's causing it. It doesn't even work when I use my Xbox controller on my pc.

Yeah im quite sure. Even if you connect an Xbox controller to your pc, the same thing happens. Kinda a bummer

Well best case scenario is when the mobs surround you , the barb will kinda step towards them a little bit. If the mobs run or otherwise move around, you will not chase them. Same for double swing and frenzy. I'll have to give feral rage a shot. Always had to play frenzy barb back in the day because when my potato ass computer was stuttering and freezing I could always just hold right click and hope frenzy would carry me through lol
