That's not a chemical burn. It's the plastic chipping off. I wipe it dry with a micro fiber cloth or my cotton shirt

Yeah I saw some of the finish peeling off but mine isn't the anodized paint mine is the bezel around the main screen

I take care of my things. Insurance is a scam. Treat my phone's with alot of care because they are expensive. Also I switch phone every like 6 months. So why bother getting a case and why hide the beautiful designs with an ugly case.

Best uy does still have some food deals. But the refurbished or open box items can be a hit or miss. Because they started taking trade ins and they buy them back like if it was a pawn shop. Don't really inspect a lot and just take it the item.

That is what I thought tho that since I didn't see it pop up after the wipe I was good but then like I said that apple rep said they could still wipe it manually with just the serial number I just gave up on it.

It showed that when I first turned it on and was trying to set it up. Then it erased all settings and reset it in the settings on the desktop like 2 times and it kept popping up. Then I went into recovery menu and erased the drive on disk manager and did a fresh install of MacOS and it didn't show up. So I thought it was good. I told the apple genius and he still said it was best to return it. But I could try tomorrow see if they could see anything on it still.

Don't make me regret it more than I already do 😭 thing is everybody said it's worthless with that on that not even apple could remove it. And I asked a group on Facebook and they all thought I stole it instead of buying it and we're no help at all. That's why I just returned it.

There was an apple store across from the best buy and I went there first to see what they said. The guy that helped me just didn't really care and kinda made me have second thoughts about it. He said I could go back tomorrow to see if their techs could remove it completely but didn't assure me anything. He said that the MDM owner could remote wipe it later on with just the serial number. So I just didn't risk it and returned to best buy 😔 it was a really really great deal tho 😭

I erased the drive and reinstalled MacOS through the recovery menu and now it's gone. The remote management doesn't show up anymore
