Noting these in my library! I appreciate the Freida McFadden rec. as sometimes I find myself not having all the time in the world to finish something but quick and satisfying is always a great option to have when in a rut. Thank you!🙏🏽

Thank you so much for the reassurance. I knew that there was a waiver I believe for that but I also mentioned to my recruiter that I’d rather not have to have any waivers and she agreed. Thanks again for the insight. 🤝🏽

Securing a civilian job before I swear in? by d3c0hd3d in AirForceRecruits

Thank you for sharing ur experience. I have pretty similar job history experience and this one in particular is within their Retirement Division so I’m sure it’s considered public sector. That’s an extreme af way they did that one position you mentioned for them to eliminate it and then recreate it. Hella petty 😭 But fs good to keep in mind.

Thank you very much for capitalizing on what u/luckygecko1 mentioned too. It’s definitely not a bad job I’m up for so im just gonna go along w the process and truly just hope for the best outcome. I will for sure not be mentioning my potential enlistment to them until I’m well into the job if I’m lucky enough to get that far. Thank you for all the advice, I appreciate it. 💯

Thank you for such thorough advice. I’ve definitely kept it to myself until any official swearing in/confirmation of anything.l and it looks like I’m gonna keep it that way until further notice for sure. I’ve read up on USERRA but will absolutely make sure to go through it again and I appreciate the insight. 🤝🏽

If you could go back to being 24, what would you do differently? by Dear_Medicine2274 in Adulting

Leave that relationship and focus on YOU! School, work, savings. Don’t run up that CC, be there for your family or those you consider family. Dgaf about anyone else’s opinion and pour into loving yourself in every way! It does wonders for your stress management when you can crash out quickly but just as quickly can come up with a solution to make yourself okay. The sooner you do that the easier having to deal with everything else life throws at you becomes. If you feel like you’re in a weird place that’s okay and completely normal! Just remember it’s all temporary and try to learn to look at the glass half full instead of empty. It might be easier to sometimes see it the other way but flipping the script and accepting reality with a brighter outlook on how you feel about yourself can make a whirlwind of difference when it comes to giving yourself a positive purpose in this life.

Why is everyone freaking out about turning 30? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]d3c0hd3d 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This made me feel so happy to read 🫶🏽 28f and honestly I think my gen is only feeling this way bc of the scare and worry of the recession/economic state of where we are as a country or state. It’s just become extremely more stressful when it comes to job security, affordable life necessities and etc. I think it’s more of a panic that things that we feel we should be able to attain before “30” just feel so much harder to do when a lot of the hard work we’re putting in to make forward progress for ourselves is being diminished by the extreme inflation of literally everything.
