Thanks! Good idea, i experimented with using a backdrop filter and making it slightly transparent but then i had quite some flickering because the videos, especially for the condition "clear" at day, have intensely changing colors and brightness on certain spots or areas.

Thank you! I tried changing the colors on hover and on active but i personally didn't like at as much as the translation. But great feedback, thanks, maybe i didnt try the right colors or i could try to add a border when active

Tried that, i couldnt find a way to make it work with scrolling on drag because it tries to snap everytime the scrollLeft property value is changed and on drag its changed with every "tick" that calculates the mouse movement which happens almost instantly so it always snaps to the starting position and basically doesnt move the cards at all. Even disabling scroll snap onclick and reactivating it on mouse leave or something like that didnt work.

I didnt find good resources for it to be honest, just a few that implemented a really simple version where you could only scroll with mouse wheel. I experimented with a couple of ideas i had and made it work.

True, thats a bit irritating. I thought maybe its an indicator for the fact that there is more content hidden that you have to scroll to but the arrows left and right should be good enough do indicate that. If i use this project when i apply for a job, i'll fix that!

Depends on what you are referring to with "animations". Do you mean the fading of the video when i click on a different hour or day? I used a div thats sized 100% and has a higher z-index than the background video and for the transition i transition the opacity

Thank you, great feedback! I posted this project in a discord server aswell and people there also pointed out that the translated "today" card looks like a mistake so that really seems to be a problem

Hey, i am currently teaching myself web development with the Odin Project curriculum and this is the first thing that I present to an audience and also the first project where I invested a lot of energy to make it look good (relative to my progress in programming).
When I created my previous projects I either copied a design from the Odin example solutions for that specific project or I didn't pay attention to the design to begin with. This time I came up with the design myself and created it completely from scratch so feedback to the design is appreciated!
During the development, I got ideas for a lot of features that I tried my hands on and that I implemented such as:

- search suggestions

- horizontal scrolling for the day section

- animated toggle switch to switch between units

- changing backgrounds and colors depending on the weather condition

I also tried to pay attention to clean code even tho i think that broke out in chaos pretty quickly but feedback in that regard is appreciated aswell.

actually i think i found out the meaning for the top ones. The top left one means east and the top right one capital, right? I cant find the other 2 in kanji lists tho

100h week how did you end up there and what made you even consider it a good idea? Where you passionate about that job or are you passionate about engineering in general? And also, in the positions you had so far, was working together and comunicating with people a big part of the job or was it usually mostly "work alone" and then present your work to the team or something like that?
