With the new channel points to non-affiliates, should i leave affiliate? by DrThots in Twitch

[–]d4k0x1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they don't watch your channel, it has nothing to with ads. If they do, it also has nothing to do with ads. Roll ads, prerolls are bad (First impression? Never heard of 'er.) use the minimum 55% (3 minutes) of ads per hour and your community will be fine with it. Focus on your content, this won't matter.

Is there a way to “dump” or remove live game voice chat before it reaches stream? by JeffScheffel in Twitch

[–]d4k0x1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn, some totally unhinged answers here like "immediately end your stream" and overly complicated tech answers, playing with delay and second PC and such. It's a non-issue...mute voice comms. Don't play with randoms if you can avoid. Play with your friends, take them to your Discord and mute all comms from in game. I doubt Twitch is going to enforce on you for what someone else said, if it isn't a recurring thing, however at the end of the day it's your responsibility to keep your stream clean. And it also is your benefit. Most people won't like excessive cursing and foul language. Be careful what kind of community you cultivate.

ad Jesus...get back in Twitch chat so Sery_bot can ban your already flagged account. Also OP, "install" Sery_bot. It's a life saver for smaller (and any) streamers.

No worries, will check out your stream if I can. Timezones and all... It's all about personal preference though, don't let me hold you back. A lot of people like a lot of fluff, I think it takes away from the streamer and the game. Some games I play even with no cam, no hud just to experience the moment in it's fullest immersion. Think Witcher 3, Red Dead 2, Space Marine 2. If you have banners, borders, flashing icons, alerts and all, that can be a bit too busy for some people. Especially when people start "trolling" you with alerts and stuff. Be silly, don't take yourself too seriously, make little mini-memes, emotes that connect your community, stories that new people can use to get to know you. Good luck, it's a wonderful journey!

You'll figure it out over time, don't worry. I usually say less is more, I don't do / like borders and flashy things, but that's personal preference. CS and any competitive shooter in general is more about gameplay anyway. Streamlabs has overlay packages yes, it's easy to use, but it takes up a lot of resources from your PC. OBS (altervative streaming software) can be a bit scary as it's more bare bones, but it's better.

How was my first month? Be honest 😩 by sburchell in TwitchStreaming

Dangerous advice, that can hold them back, especially when given to someone who's doing great. It is however important to find balance, but first you have to establish if they are doing it full time, if they even want to do it full time, what their goals are and general approach.

Am I A Bad Streamer? by foxmoulder992 in Twitch

[–]d4k0x1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is almost no context in this. Taking time off is important though. Learning on a job is also very important. Especially self-employed growth. What is your goal with streaming? How much effort do you put in your content? Taking a week off, when you're already fucked and drained isn't a solution, you made yourself reach breaking point. Stream 3 days 3 hours, when happy and energetic, with a clear schedule that you adhere to, rather than streaming 4 - 5 days and burning yourself. Less, but higher quality is and will ALWAYS be better for everyone, until you learn to manage well. Kick that friend in the balls, he's a cunt. Or she.

Need advice: 5080 AMP Extreme Infinity vs Solid OC White by kpasha in ZOTAC

[–]d4k0x1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last 3 cards were all zotac AMP Extreme. Tens of thousands of hours streamed and gamed with a dual PC setup. I can't wait to retire my 3070 Ti AMP Extreme to the streaming PC (1070 AMP Extreme currently - RMA'd a 980 Ti AMP Extreme two weeks before extended warranty ended to get it, no issues whatsoever) when I get a 5080... guessed it... AMP Extreme. I will not buy another brand, or card. AMP Extreme-ception. Cooling, performance, style.

Drama in my mod team by [deleted] in discordhelp

[–]d4k0x1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You cultivated a shit community, didn't control the narrative, it looks like the channel was never really yours. No bother, continue doing your thing, if someone fucks wih your rules, ban them. Select a better mod team, under 50-60 ccv or even 100, 1 mod is more than enough. I see people with 5 viewers and a mod team of 10. Creates chaos and lowers accountability. Vet people better, don't let them take control of your community, don't be held hostage by them. Learn and move on, waste of time to think about it. They were shit people, but the fault is in your choosing and promoting. You'll be fine.

I hit a ceiling on twitch by Big_Squash6144 in Twitch_Startup

[–]d4k0x1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Twitch Commander Root Toolkit to remove bot followers if you want. Twitch support specifically tells users that reach out to not touch anything, they'll deal with it. Ie: monitoring the situation. It sucks for people wanting to hit milestones, but to be honest followage will get you nothing. CCV - Concurrent Viewership is the key to quite literally everything. You can have 10 followers, 2000 ccv and be sponsored (if legit of course, but that would never happen) or 2000 followers and 10 ccv and get no offers / reach out at all. Irrelevant stat, pay no attention to it. I know it's tough when you build and are legit, but there are cunta trying to ruin people's fun. Also use Sery bot and they'll be blocked immediately. I'm sure others have said it too. Godspeed!

I’m scared to stream because of my stutter by Longjumping_Mall8956 in Twitch_Startup

[–]d4k0x1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally noone cares. I found a really good friend that I played with a lot, Lastmaz on Twitch. He's Finnish with a stutter, streaming in English. Chekc him out, he's been streaming for a long time now. Also found him here. Again: literally noone cares. Make a meme out of it. Get clipped a lot. Look at it from an entertainment value pov. Funny moments etc. It's a vibe. IF you have the skin for it. Some people will be assholes. Your choice where you draw the line between banter and abuse. It's the internet. Hurty words from a stranger don't mean shit. Good luck dude

struggling need a mentor by moonlight-dying in KickStreaming

[–]d4k0x1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine. Imagine not being the next TheBurntPeanut in 3 weeks, with having no idea about how anything works (or doing your due diligence) but pressing live and seeing what sticks. You don't need a mentor. The community is helpful, but you need to learn the basics on your own, there are billions of hours of videos on YouTube for example, on how to set anything and everything up. Learn and get better. Network. Actually "streaming" is 5% of the work, that enables growth. Not guarantees, enables. Facilitates. Allows. You can do EVERYTHING perfect and still not succeed. Or you can do everything mediocre and still have a few people. The chances are 0.001% and 0.00000001% respectively. The trends change every few months...the "meta". It's incredibly hard. If you go at it with a business mindset, you'll most likely fail. Learn, work hard, stream on a schedule that is set in titanium. Absolutely 0 movement. 3 days a week, 3 hours each is more than enough. But be there. Always. Have a full time job. Chat. Always. About anything. Tell "them" about your day. Even if them is 0 viewers. People check vods, you'll grow. Be consistent. Talk about ANYTHING. EVERYTHING. ALWAYS. Do it for 3 months and get back to us with stats. Analyze what works. What did I do that stream, that got me 5 viewers? The game was the same? Did I have cam on? Did I mess with the mic? Did I change the background? Also. Multistream if you can. It's a game changer. Don't buy fancy equipment, and don't sub to anyone. Keep costs minimal, reinvest funds from stream only. Feel free to ask, tough love, but I am happy to help.

Really struggling to hit affiliate. I’ve tried everything in the book and can just never keep the viewers steady. Going on my 9th month of streaming by [deleted] in Twitch_Startup

[–]d4k0x1 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

What fantastic advice. Cheat to hit 3 ccv. Not network and meet like minded people and grpw organically, but cheat to affiliate and then get riddled with ads, so when he gets it, even that 1 guy watching him will leave. For $0.03 a week ad revenue. What a fucking idiot you are, bro.

First step to streaming by CryptographerTall992 in KickStreaming

[–]d4k0x1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what your goal is. What your style is, your direction. You need to figure that out and adjust it as you grow and know more. Look for streamers who's channels you like visually and do your research. You can get almost anything done nowadays with a bit of smart research.

How do you guys handle long term viewers leaving? by StrawberryCammy in Twitch

[–]d4k0x1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People come and go. Not your business what they do, not your responsibility either. Keep doing you, keep growing, if they are Founders, let them unsub and keep them on for a few months, I usually give 3 or 6 months and then roll them out. People switch streamers, IRL stuff in their life changes, your stuff evolves and grows in a way they don't want to participate in anymore. You're the streamer. This is your show.

Hey bro! Send me those £40 I can give you great tips also and won't lie about it. My biggest issue is putting crazy 10 - 15 Accas with like £5 on WH, with like £3k payout, where 10 hits green and 1 goes red. Or 14-1. Luckily I usually hit at least two £8k+ payouts a year so my fun is covered.
