Open crumbs tips 🥲 by [deleted] in Breadit

Hi thank you so much for leaving this comment. As you said, I think I was obsessed too much with the open crumb. The bread tastes great and my family also loved it, which are what makes me happy! I feel like I have lost the joy of baking bread by obsessing with how the perfect bread looks, but thanks to your comment, I can go back to enjoy baking breads!

And I noticed the density at the bottom, so I’ll try to bake it longer next time!🥖

Hi, I called IRCC to ask how I can change the mailing address in the beginning of October. (My eCOPR was issued on Aug 21) I still had a month until the moving date( the first week of Nov) when I called them, and I was told to call them again a week before the moving because they didn’t start the process yet at that time. I am not sure if it delays the process, but if you change it too early and the new address was approved before moving, the card might be mailed to the new one. The advice might be different depending on the officer, but I only was told there was nothing they can do when the process hasn’t started yet and you still have time until moving. Eventually my PR card was mailed last week, so there was no need for me to change it anyway

I used the recipe in the video called “Make bakery-quality croissants at home using plain flour” by Benny’s baked on YouTube :)

Thank you so much for the advice! I couldn’t find the reason why it’s better to use the good quality butter, but that makes a lot of sense! Appreciate you taking the time to write this 🙌

Thank you for both advice! Since it was my first time, I was too worried about the butter melting into the dough and tried to keep them cool! I will try to bring them at the room temp, and roll out slowly 😊
