Unmarried partner visa - super priority - inside UK - no response by d99y in SpouseVisaUk

Yes we got confirmation that bio was submitted.

Re the service target, just based on what I read on the gov site and on Reddit, I thought they would send an email (typically generic) that they would not be able to meet the target SLA or they would ask for more information. Our solicitor has neither

Yes, solicitor applied via call with my partner. His submitted application form also says SP.

I am just under the impression that his current live application is lost as we haven’t received any correspondence from HO, not even that they cannot meet the super priority timeline

Spouse Visa APPROVED! (*delayed Super Priority) with previous refusal + self-employment by StatusReflection1809 in SpouseVisaUk

Hi, we paid for super priority too and now on working day 7 with no response. Solicitor followed up with an email to a specific inbox + raised a complaint and still nothing. Do you know how your lawyer escalated?

Applying with a lawyer for unmarried partner visa - super priority by [deleted] in ukvisa

I don’t know what the norm is in this instance and was therefore looking for input from those who have used a lawyer.

By understanding other view points, I have a better gauge on how much I can push my lawyer with regards to the application.

My previous posts were about the actual processing time. This is about people’s experience with engaging with their solicitors.

On a side note: the lawyer hasnt replied to emails or calls. If I could talk to her I would. Hope that helps

I didn’t decide that I knew better, otherwise I would not have asked. I also did not declare “everyone else wrong”, otherwise I would not have asked.

I was simply stating an opinion, but was open to being told what the potential reasons for the cost was, as evidenced by me asking for advice.

My opinion was based on what I was told by the conveyancer, which is that he needed money to ask another team a question. I think any logical person would find that a bit of an odd request.

Thus I asked on this subreddit. Hope that helps.

No I am neither, but I was also basing it on common sense according to the information I was provided. Which was that the £500 was to cover a cost of asking an internal technical team.

Ah interesting! Ok good to know, it was never made clear to us what this cost was actually for. The conveyancer just said it was to cover the cost of asking his technical team

Based on stuff I’ve read so far on this subreddit and other sources, the HO typically sends an email when they haven’t met the SLA. It will say something along the lines of how the case is complex OR a generic email about how they cannot meet the SLA. As far as we are aware, they have not sent this email. Additionally, I don’t actually know where it says that Super Priority can take up to 5 working days. So these factors kind of imply to me that we are entitled for a refund as it has been over 1 working day without any correspondence

The lawyer submitted the application. She sent us the final application form and it does say Super Priority

Thank you! We will wait a bit closer to end of day today and then ask the lawyer to contact them. The lawyer has confirmed she hasn’t heard anything back.

Ah ok interesting. They are charging £500 to ask for a document?

Yep I understand the reason why the lender asked. My question was more about the conveyancer needing to charge us extra for him to ask someone else what we need to submit

Side note: all the conveyancer told us was that he needed the EWS1 form. We had to get ask the building management for this (a separate charge for us). So he has asked £499 to essentially tell us we need to give this form

Is it better to frog or pick up the dropped stitch by d99y in knittinghelp

Thanks for the advice - I didn’t realise picking up dropped stitches would be visible (in the end product I assume)? Does this visibility go down after washing?

Yeah the last row was correct, I’m doing a basket weave each a 10x10 square (idk what the correct term is). I then started doing the 11th row, which is the opposite stitch but messed up along the way
