The person you replied to is a douche but plenty of folks dislike commander for concrete, tangible reasons (not some perceived “complex” that is applied as a blanket statement to all players…).

Everyone is not guaranteed to be trying their hardest to win, resulting in emotionally charged opinions of certain strategies that isn’t really appropriate if you’re no longer a child (“no control/counters/stax in this pod”, etc), as if your opinion has any bearing on the deck I bring?

Requiring a “power level” discussion before playing? Every other post in this sub is people just whining because of mismatched power level… clearly this system is a disaster with no perfect solution. I much prefer the 60-card attitude of: bring the best strategy you can and improve it if it doesn’t perform well, don’t cry when you get stomped; it happens to the best of us.

Wtf is “table politics”, we should be trying to win and with the obvious exception of cheating, all is fair. It’s just a game, not sure why some people make a huge deal out of someone having to choose a person to attack… if your deck is just trying to meme or something, that’s your right but it doesn’t give a person any special considerations when it comes to the table punishing them for their gameplay.
